By chance today was the opening for this NY style pizzeria when I stopped in! The food was phenomenal and made fresh. I talked to the owner and he said he makes everything from scratch and you can tell from the taste. The prices are very good and there wasn’t a long wait time. I live close by and I’ll be stopping here again soon.

Amazing NY slice! Been looking for a place like this for so long, and Palestina Pizza has never disappointed. A simple pie with good ingredients and a perfect crust. With a thin pizza like this, gotta keep the gradients light. Don’t over do it. 1-2 at most. Can’t go wrong with a humble cheese pie either.

Ordered pizza to go here twice, a few months apart. Both times, their estimates on how long it would take were nowhere near accurate. Took 20-30 minutes longer than they told us both times. The pizza is good, but the wait time leaves much to be desired. Did not offer us anything for the delay and didn’t even say sorry for the wait. Overall the service is not good.
Re: owners comment – We were told pizza would be ready at 6:25 & we arrived at 6:27. Pizzq was ready at 6:43. The staff said it would be ready in 3 min when we walked in, but obviously was not the case. Maybe don’t pick up the phone if you’re not planning on making pizzas!
Hope they can get their act together.

Wonderful place . Excellent food quality. Very friendly owner. Self made sauces . Ranch has very good and deep flavor which is so awesome. The cheese bread was so soft and fresh. It was literally the best cheese bread i ever had. Coming to pizza all the elements were cooked perfectly and they were a lot fresh compared to other pizza places which mass produce. The restaurant ambience was good with clean tables and nice finishing touches on the high tables by the glass. I had a great time and decided will be visiting this place time to time

Food was cold when it arrived and I only live a mile down the street from them. Pizza was really small for a “14 inch.” Looked more like a 10 or 12 inch and they didn’t offer anything bigger to order. I was really surprised considering it’s “New York style,” which is typically a larger pizza. Flavors were decent, but not worth the money I spent on a cold, small pizza. Super disappointing.
EDIT to reply to owner. I wasn’t complaining about the price of the pizza. I was complaining about the size considering it’s “New York style” and it being cold. And it’s your responsibility as a restaurant owner to make sure the delivery service is capable of delivering the food properly. For example, if they don’t have a pizza bag don’t give it to them. There’s no excuse for my food to be cold when I live 5 minutes away. Also, I’m pretty sure you just called my phone twice after I left my honest review, which is borderline harassment and super unprofessional. I know it’s hard to take criticism about your food. I’ve worked in kitchens half my life. The fact is I was just left really disappointed with the food. That’s it. Best of luck to you.

I had a family gathering yesterday and wanted to order several large pizzas. Google states restaurant opens at 12:30p on Saturdays. I called numerous times between 12:30-1p and nobody answered. So I tried placing order online and when I got to end of checkout after entering payment info, it said delivery not available? Pizza looks great, but so hard to actually know when/if they are open. Hours online need to be updated if they have changed.

Well, I did love it at first but now not so much now. Ordered a pizza and fries, waited the amount of time the website said to go pick it up. Get there and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the pizza. Get it home (a block away) and discover that the fries are not done at all and are cold. Too frustrated to go back and complain I chucked it up to a bad night for them. Order again a couple of weeks later same story but the fries are over done. Will not order from again, but I don’t think I have to worry about that since they shutdown shortly after.

This is my favorite pizza in the city! It’s way better than Chicago style, it’s affordable, and I love supporting a small business. Business. What’s more, it’s nice to have a good pizza joint in Rogers Park. I highly recommend this for anyone in the area.
