We’ve waited more than 15 minutes in a *fast food* restaurant just to get this overcooked and lukewarm fried chicken. When it was finally served, it wasn’t even hot anymore.

On top of that, the sauce we paid extra for wasn’t added at all, and the chicken wasn’t spicy like it should be.

I came here before and thought the food was great, but this time it was honestly disappointing. Please make sure the food quality and consistency are maintained — this experience was not acceptable.

Bringing the southern politeness and service to the wild west is so nice! This is proper fried chicken, nothing fancy pants like Chick-fil-A’s cooking method. (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧

Four star on my “Fast Food” scale. Are the sandwiches good? Yes. Do they taste freshly cooked, absolutely! $10 or so for a sandwich I would hope to have some quality. One important thing I’ll say is they don’t travel the best. For best experience, eat in the restaurant. I had them from being bagged for roughly 30mins and “they were ok”. I think the different types of sandwiches per sports guy is good advertising. A complaint I have is many of the sandwiches have “similar” flavor and many have their fried onions- which takes over a lot of the taste. I would normally be all for mac n cheese on my sandwich. Although, the mac n’ cheese was not my favorite. The best was just the original Shaq one with Coleslaw on it from my past visit. It’s a nice change from Chicfila and hope they expand more around here.

Ordering: you need to bring about $12(sandwich only)-$15 (meal with sandwich and fries) per person. If you wanna drink, there’s an up charge of two dollars and if you want milkshake, there’s an up charge of almost 6 dollars. It cost about $40 for two and that’s high for families.

Food Quality: my order didn’t come out correct and when they went to change my order, they brought me back my old fries, and unfortunately, these are just basic frozen fries cooked in oil. They were cold and smell like chicken oil. The milkshake was great.
The sauces aren’t anything special Not like other restaurants that have secret sauces.
The chicken itself is thin and was overcooked. I had different chicken sandwiches from KFC and Popeyes that were very thick compared to this Sandwich. For crying out loud this is a company through Shaq and he’s a big boy…hook a sandwich up. My cheese curds were small and not like the picture and were overcooked so there was no more cheese in my cheese curds.

Cleanliness: bathrooms are pretty clean and the floors in the restaurant are pretty decently cleaned. However, the tables, however, wasn’t wiped down so we had to wipe them down.

Employees: they were friendly and patient while ordering.

First time visiting this venue. Someone mentioned It’s Shaq’s place, so I had to pop in. The milkshakes are the bomb. I can still taste it. I chose a vanilla with chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, chocolate chunks and peanut butter chunks. The chicken sandwich was delicious, nicely presented, and the fries were perfect. The server was smart, friendly, customer service oriented. Service to was not long at all. I highly recommend it.

I’m going to give 5 stars to this location because it’s deserved. The food was good, the service was great and the place was very clean with an inviting atmosphere.

My last Big Chicken experience was in Gilbert AZ, and I was NOT impressed. It was newly opened and over staffed, with a lot of the staff standing around… I get it. I need to give new franchise locations a second chance. Here’s to second chances, or maybe all locations are not created equal.

Enough of my words. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Shaq’s Big Chicken is definitely a chicken place to try! They have many different chicken sandwiches, a lot of great sauces, the restaurant is cool, and the staff is friendly!

Mac N Cheese: The Mac N Cheese was decent, and it was cool that they had crushed up Cheese It’s on top.

BC Fries: They were surprisingly good! Definitely a unique shape, they were like thinly sliced steak fries. Good with some of the chicken sauce.

The Original Big Chicken: This is your standard chicken sandwich. It tasted pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Crispy Chicken Grilled Cheese: Our favorite dish! We thought the bread was sourdough, but the menu says that it’s rustic Italian. Regardless, the bread and cheese really helped take the chicken sandwich to the next level!

Hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! I got the Ultimate Shaqed up with bacon and… I feel like it was R rated in here for a moment. The sauces here make the amazing chicken even better and I am adding an updated photo so you have visual representation of which sauces are the best in our opinion

This is a fun place to get crispy fried chicken goodness at The Landing. Service is fast, the seating area is plentiful, and the sauce bar has something for everyone. The Nashville hot chicken was just right, with a nice coating of sauce that didn’t drown out everything else and had a bite. The milkshakes are massive, something that can definitely be shared between two people. One of the surprises here was the thin treatment of steak fries that leaves them delectably crispy and perfect for dipping in the sauces.

I didn’t take pictures as I wasn’t thinking I’d be won over by “another fried chicken sandwich place” as I’ve tried several in the area and have been underwhelmed – I’ve always found them too salty/too greasy/flavorless heartburn. For whatever reason, I wanted to try Big Chicken today, and it turned out to be worth it and surprised me in several ways.

I ordered The Hot Shot, some crinkle fries, and mac and cheese.

I wasn’t feeling a full-sized sandwich so I got the Hot Shot because it was smaller and had a little bit of heat. It was quite good! The natural sweetness of the toast paired well with the sauce and jalapeños. The sandwich had just enough chicken. Only bummer was that the cheese curds on it were old and tough, so I just skipped those.

I’m particular about mac and cheese and don’t tend to care for crumb toppings, but the cheese dust I am on board with. Also the mac and cheese itself is pretty good – thick and flavorful (aka actual aged cheese flavor) with the noodles fully coated and not overcooked.

Of the places I’ve tried in the area, this is the only one I’ll come back to. Next time I’ll try a milkshake.
