This was my 2nd time eating here — it’s amazing and such a hidden gem!! I’ve gone twice with my family and we all love it. Much healthier than our typical restaurant meal and very flavorful. I’ve had the medí bowl and now the street cart wrap — I would highly recommend both. Today I believe the manager or owner was working the register and he was so kind! He even gave my little sister some extra chicken wings and the service was excellent. Also the fries are just outstanding, I’d come here just for those!

I stopped in here last weekend and ordered the street cart doner with beef and lamb. They had some pretty solid old school funky beats playing which I was all about. It is sort of an upscale fast casual style of establishment with sit down vibes. The staff were super friendly and stopped by to make sure the food was up to par. The food was pretty tasty and filling, but I think it could’ve used just a little more veggies and sauce. It may have also needed to be wrapped a little differently too because if you look at the photo on their website, it looks a little more balanced than the one I ordered. There is plenty of parking and they have a nice little outdoor seating area as well.

This is my husband and my go to quick bite restaurant. We really like their food, delicious gyros and drinks(they have cocktails and other adult drinks!). It’s very casual but still has a nice city vibe even though it is in the convenient Woodbury location. I like their choice of music as well and it’s never too loud to have a nice conversation. The people are very friendly too! I would especially recommend to the people who don’t have a lot of time for a sit down restaurant but want to have a still nice food and a drink.

After a long day at work yesterday, I finally decided on what I wanted for dinner. I live in the Woodbury area, and even though there are plenty of other options, I chose Spitz because their pita bread and hummus are honestly delicious.
Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced completely overshadowed the food.
I placed a pickup order and when I arrived, I initially thought the restaurant was closed because the dining room looked empty. As I walked up to the counter, I saw three employees near the bar laughing and having a conversation. No one acknowledged me. I walked up, to the employee standing in front of the cash register. I softly said, “Hi, I’m here to pick up an order (said my name) and received no greeting in return.
She handed it to me with a visible sigh, and rolled her eyes after I said thank you. The entire interaction made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer.
I walked out, but it didn’t sit right with me, so I went back in and asked to speak with the manager. The manager said she would address it, but there didn’t seem to be much concern about what I had just experienced. That was also disappointing.
I understand everyone has off days. I understand work environments can be stressful. But basic courtesy — eye contact, a greeting, and simple respect — is not too much to ask. Especially in customer service.
This experience does not reflect my previous visits to Spitz, which makes it even more unfortunate. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because in today’s economy, customer experience matters just as much as good food.

20/10 experience. The service was truly amazing. A staff member noticed us enjoying family time, playing their board games and chatting, and surprised us with a free dessert. Such a thoughtful, above and beyond gesture. Great food, even better service. We’ll absolutely be back. Five stars all day.
