It’s a cute spot in the start of Irving Park, clearly a community hub and known to the older generation. It’s got two wings of dining and a bar in the middle. It’s VERY loud and very difficult to hear each other at your dining table. Staff came by quickly and took the order quickly. Menu has good options but prices are not competitive. Bread and butter were tasty, I did not enjoy the minestrone soup it was lacking spice and noodles. The chicken piccata was tasty very lemony and creamy and the veggies paired nicely. The sangria was okay very simple and the fruit was good. Overall I can see why the older crowd enjoys this place so maybe it’s best for group or family outings. Free parking on nearby street.

From the minute we walked in the staff made us feel like family. This is what a neighborhood place is all about. The bar was super cozy and not super loud. The food was absolutely incredible. We split a few things and each was better than the next. The hot bread they brought is a top five in the city. We will be back for sure.

Unassuming exterior is greeted with cozy and clean interior and delightful overall experience with excellent food and even better service. Ernesto and staff was accommodating and made everyone feel comfortable. I would recommend for dates, family dinners and birthdays – the whole restaurant joined in singing happy birthday. Terrific experience.

Worst italian food I’ve ever had. On top, they harass people for tips.

Was visiting Chicago from Canada. Went for dinner and the food left us disappointed. Nothing was up to the mark for any price point on the menu. During taking order the waiter was rude and unfriendly.

On top of that, they auto add $3 credit card fee even if you pay cash. Bill was $57 (with auto $3). After mentioning cash payment they did not give us revised check.

So after recalculating myself without cc fee, bill was about $52 ish after tax, left $60 cash on the table. While leaving, the waiter (old guy with glasses) came running after us DEMANDING and yelling at us for not paying. The BILL WAS PAID. Did not get any brilliant service all night and this guy had the audacity to scream and demand for TIPS. Ultimately haggled and begged another $5 out of me.

And before coming at me for leaving not enough tips, remember it depends on service not freaking entitlement.

The business need to either retrain their staff or learn to run a better establishment where the staff doesn’t embarrass the patrons for having the bill paid. Anything extra is EXTRA.

My first time going there. The food was great. 6 of us went for an early dinner. I tasted several dishes from the other people on the table all are great. We had steak cooked to perfection. The pasta was good and the lemon chicken was also good. Will definitely be going there again. The service was great. They all worked like a family.

I was a sole diner here visiting from Scotland. Friendly service and food was lovely! I was expecting the shrimp scampi to be a creamy pasta dish which it wasn’t however it was delicious! The warm crusty bread is to die for! Highly recommend this cosy restaurant

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mirabella Italian Cuisine & Bar! Everything we ordered was delicious, starting with the spinach apple salad it was incredible! So fresh and full of flavor.

The linguine with clam sauce (white) was outstanding perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, savory sauce. We also tried the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and shrimp, and it was equally amazing creamy, flavorful, and comforting in every bite.

Even the bread was wonderful warm, fresh, and the perfect complement to our meal.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

Went on Valentine’s Day having made reservations days earlier. The door staff was friendly and attentive however, the table we were shown was less than We had expected Having made reservations ahead of time we assumed we would be seated at an acceptable table only to find that we were Seated at a table that was up against the wall, with a limited view and close to a restroom. The waiter Was definitely not conducive to this experience. He was quick in attitude , abrupt and rushed us through the dining process. It was our intention to sit back, relax and enjoy a leisurely dining experience on this special day but that was not to be the case.
The food was less than we had anticipated as well as the fish we ordered was undercooked, and the chicken was overcooked . In summary , the food, service and seating arrangements were definitely less than desirable.

I’ve ordered takeout twice from Mirabella and have been blown away by the quality of the food. The spaghetti diavolo is outta this world delicious. It’s the perfect amount of heat and flavor, with expertly cooked shrimp and other seafood. They have a small, discreet exterior, nestled in the neighborhood of Avondale, but the interior (especially around the holiday season) is so cozy and warm. When I picked up my food the other night for the second time, the waiter took me on a tour because I mentioned how lovely it was. He was so polite, asking my name and welcoming me in with a handshake. I can’t believed I’ve lived in Avondale for almost 7 years and driven by this restaurants hundreds of times and only now am discovering it. Already thinking about the next time we’re getting Mirabella!
