I was honestly disappointed with our experience at Udon Thai. The portions were definitely generous, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the food itself fell flat. Many of the dishes lacked the bold, vibrant flavors you expect from Thai cuisine, and several items were noticeably greasy.
We were hoping for that balance of spice, brightness, and depth that makes Thai food so craveable, but it just wasn’t there for us. While you certainly get a lot of food for the price, flavor matters more and that’s where it missed the mark.

This is my go to lunch spot in the Scottsdale area. I’ve always had great service and a truly enjoyable experience. I went today with my lady and although I didn’t get a picture of my Pad Thai, she took a picture of her Chow Mein. Everything is fresh and delicious. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about this place. For the sake of knowledge, we both had lunch specials, with a side of crab wontons and a drink for $33. Lunch comes with a small salad, a spring roll and the entree. It’s a little hidden so use your map app, but in that spirit, it’s the very definition of a hidden gem!

This place is amazing, great food and great workers! It’s really not that expensive so if you want some good Thai food come here! I recommend the coconut boba it’s soo good. Their fresh spring rolls and pad see ew is very delicious! I’ve been here twice now and will be coming back with friends and family, thank you!

I’m here from out of town. It’s hard to know where to find good restaurants when you’re not from the area. I happen to pick this place because of a few other comments. I was a little nervous because I like my Thai food from a specific place back home in Chicago. This place tasted different than my usual but extremely good. I enjoyed every bit of it. I got the Tom Yum soup which was phenomenal. The flavors were so vibrant. Then I also went for a go-to favorite pad thai. Also delicious. Portions were big for the price and the service was friendly! I come out to this area a lot for work and I will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for incredible Thai food, Udon Thai is a must-try! The Thai mussels were absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served in a rich, savory sauce that had me wiping the bowl clean. Definitely one of the best mussel dishes I’ve had in a long time.
I also ordered the Tom Yum soup, and it was fantastic—super flavorful, fresh, and loaded with that classic tangy, citrusy kick. Just a heads up though: be mindful of the spice level! I love spicy food, but it definitely had a serious punch, so if you’re not used to heat, ask for it mild or medium.

So delicious and reasonably priced with good portions. Nice inside with soft relaxing music. Our group of four shared spring rolls with shrimp, tom kha gai soup with tofu , drunken noodles with pork, pineapple fried rice with shrimp, and spicy basil leaves with chicken. Medium spicy was perfect! We came from the botanical gardens and found this place on Google— happy to add our positive review!
