I stopped by Dockside Cafe and had a great experience. If you’re there on a Friday, the all-you-can-eat catfish is definitely the way to go. The catfish is hot, crispy, and cooked just right, and they keep it coming so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Their burgers are also excellent—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
The views of the water are incredible, and the sunsets here are hard to beat. Outdoor seating is a little limited, but it’s worth grabbing a spot if you can. It’s also very convenient if you’re coming by boat with easy dock access, and there’s plenty of parking if you’re driving. Overall, a great laid-back spot with good food and an even better view.

Dockside Cafe – Located at the marina a short distance from the camp ground. Pretty basic interior but don’t let that fool you. Wait staff were GREAT and talk about food. We ordered to Hawaiian Salads and having had same before thought they would be small, so we added to appetizers; fried pickles and a seafood dip. JEEZE, the fried pickles came out on a large pan – there was enough for a meal. Then the seafood dip came and it filled a medium skillet. Knew immediately the seafood was going home with us. When our salads arrive we were again shocked by how large. TOO MUCH FOOD – huge portions. Price more than reasonable. There is also a small store in the same building as the cafe.

Tacos were perfect! Blackened Grouper, Mango Shrimp & Jerk Chicken ! Atmosphere is comfortable, dress is very casual, staff very polite, view of the Lake is delightful! Kids menu, many choices of desserts! Key Lime Cheesecake slice just melts in your mouth! If you find yourself without shoes, buy a pair of flip flops.

Onion fry thingy was good. Service was slow (Memorial Day weekends, so the park was packed), but Andrew was super kind and helpful (I had lots of questions about the homemade desserts). My husband and I shared the BbQ sampler. Sweet potato was delish. We had the chocolate cake and coffee for dessert (my 1st choice was coconut, but it wasn’t on the menu yet) and it was very good. Sat outside, it was lovely even though it was rainy. Would recommend.

A wonderful family run cafe nestled right in the marina at Harrison Bay State Park.
Such a treat to go hiking, boating or fishing and then have a place like this to go to for a drink and some terrific home-made food.
Cheeseburger and chicken tenders (so thick and juicy) are our go to meals. Their turnip greens are just like mom used to make. Fantastic.
Service is spot on, fast and friendly. Do yourself a favor and get outdoors, then stop by Dockside for a meal to round out your day!

Great place to enjoy a grill cheese and bacon sandwich! I had it with grilled tomatoes, onion and jalapeños it was perfect and so was the service!

Visiting this cafe inside Harrison Bay State Park was a good experience. I had the brisket and it was good. We also tried the crack nuggets and they were pretty good as well. However, the food, service, and ambiance in this restaurant weren’t impressive enough for me to want to return.

I do not usually leave negative reviews, but I was not impressed. Hardly anyone there, plenty of staff, waited 45 minutes or so for 2 orders of chicken strips and a grilled cheese sandwich. All of which came out burnt. The waitress offered to bring out more but we did not want to wait any longer. The waitress gave us some off the bill. So I do appreciate them for that. I only post because I felt it could of been avoided all together.

We had the all you could eat fish on a Friday night and it was good. The coleslaw and hush puppies were good. The service was very good and the server was nice and pleasant. I would recommend eating here.
