Max and Emily’s did the catering for our wedding at the Little Flower Barn nearby. We wanted a meal that was affordable, tasty and the fact that Max and Emily’s is known for giving back to the community was another bonus. Elmo from Max and Emily’s is wonderful to work with. We ended up doing a mac and cheese bar with the most delicious 3 cheddar mac and cheese, a sriracha bourbon pulled pork and Tuscan chicken with many other toppings to go along with it. He even worked with us to meet the needs of some guests who had allergies and even made a tray of gluten free mac and cheese for us. One guest told us it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had. They handled everything form set up to tear down so perfectly too.

This place honestly really is just terrible all around. Im not sure if it was once good, buts it not anymore. Dusty, outdated, underlit interior, gleaming with a empty baked good display case. The food just falls short, how does a sandwich place not have any of the single soup they have availablele at 1pm during winter left? The portions are comically small for the money. The burger tasted like it was boiled, and hidden on a stale pretzel bun. Dont forget they’ll ask for a 20% tip at the register and you need to bus yourself. Let this place die a quick death while pretending its a local institution. Pathetic.

First time here and based on the line to order this place gets pretty popular with the locals! Ordering was fast and customer service was great, even down to the kitchen bringing me my meal and saying “I really hope you enjoy”. You can tell there’s a lot of pride in their dishes, the Tom Pesty sandwich was good and I loved the flat bread they used for it, but the broccoli soup was the star of the show for me. Perfect consistency and blend of flavors, my only regret is that I wish I would have gotten a bowl instead of a cup. My lunch was a perfect companion for this bitter cold day out. The vibe reminds me of a New York deli, and the soft lighting gives it a nice bistro feeling. Will definitely recommend to local friends.

We saw the interview on PBS last night, so we told our son we were visiting and going for lunch. Such a nice atmosphere, the staff was so friendly and we all had the “Ken.” Absolutely delicious! We’ll be back!

They have something for everyone here! Of course I got the vegan wrap, which was a solid choice. Service was fairly quick, since it was pretty busy. There’s lots of space for seating too

Worst sandwich experience of my life.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I waited over an HOUR for a basic sandwich — and no, it wasn’t during a rush or anything crazy. Just flat-out slow, disorganized, and unapologetic service.
When I asked about my order after 45 minutes, the staff acted like it was no big deal — no urgency, no explanation, just a shrug. When the sandwich finally arrived, it wasn’t even good. Bread was soggy, ingredients were sloppy, and it looked like it had been sitting for a while. Definitely not worth the wait or the money.
I’ve had gas station sandwiches that were better and faster than this mess. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you’ve got 2 hours to kill and enjoy disappointment.

Decent food quality and a broad selection of menu items. Another reviewer mentioned the darkness of the interior and I concur. They really need better lighting. Wait times for food can be rather long but at least they are making the items fresh and to order. Portion sizes are on the small side although their pricing is not. My wife and I ate lunch here. $30 for two thinly layered 6″ sandwiches, 2 small bags of chips and one drink. I was hungry again two hours later. Value for the experience had is disproportionate. Also, seeing several employees with long full beards prepping food without a beard net is pretty repulsive. I do recommend though. One could do a lot worse that Max and Emily’s.
