While I enjoy the festivities at a restaurant as much as the next guy, the volume level was pretty loud. The food was good, but I’ve had better. And the kitchen forgetting my Cheese Fries was a bit of a bummer. But, I will admit, they made it right by giving me the 2nd order after the mishap.
The rolls and cinnamon butter are really good, and our server Madison was very good. But, for me, the healthy wait (on a Monday night) and other minor issues bumped this experience down to 4 stars.
(And with FD’s sharing a parking lot, it’s hard to forget them.)
Their rib-eye was the best food I have eaten in the USA.
Llng waiting if you do not put yourself on the waiting list beforehand.
Food: 5/5
the bread and butter were for my European tongue too sweet. 3/5
The sidedishes were ok. 4/5
The rins were ok. 3/5
the sirloin (medium-rare) was all right. 4/5
The rib-eye (medium-rate) was extraordinary. 5/5
Service: kind, attentive
Design: cool, fits to a roadhouse; toilets were clean; no smoke in the dining area 5/5
While the food itself was good, the customer service completely derailed our date night. From the start, the greeter was openly rude and visibly upset simply because we requested a more private table. From that point on, the atmosphere shifted—we were watched in an uncomfortably obvious way, service was minimal, and to make matters worse, part of our order never even made it to the table.
What should have been a special evening for my wife felt tense and disappointing. We don’t expect perfection, but we do expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and care—especially at a place we’ve supported and returned to year after year. Right now, I’m honestly reconsidering our December visit, which says a lot given how much this restaurant has meant to us.
I hope management sees this for what it is: not a complaint for the sake of complaining, but honest feedback from loyal guests who want to see the Texas Roadhouse experience live up to the hospitality it promises. An acknowledgment and genuine apology would go a long way.
