Incredible little place. Service was 10/10, but honestly there was no way they could upstage the dumplings or noodles. The sausage in the soup dumplings is MAGIC, and the Shanghai Beef Noodles might have changed my life. So simple, but best bite I’ve had in a LONG time.

We have been coming here for years. We realized we hadn’t ordered from here in awhile and decided to get takeout this evening. We got chicken street noodles, shrimp fried rice, pan fried dumplings, and bbq steam buns. The food was genuinely bad. Nothing was seasoned, the shrimp tasted like they were poached in water, and nothing was crispy like it normally is. But most disappointingly, it was bland and flavorless. The dumplings had a raw dough texture on the inside, and the steam buns were mealy. We come here because the food is elevated above other noodle places, but I can genuinely say we could have ordered from any random noodle/dumpling shop this evening and it would have been loads better. From pickup to consuming the food was probably 25 minutes old, so wasn’t a timing issue either.

Understated in almost every way, this nook of a restaurant serves up a very limited menu of Chinese standards, wine and beer.

The downstairs serves Chinese street food inspired dishes while the upstairs is more formal. The space is tiny so be prepared to sit close to the table next to you and limited real estate on your table.

The seasoning of the food is subdued, bordering on under seasoned. We ordered pan fried pork dumplings that were simply a delicately seasoned ground pork on a dumpling skin… So green onions, no additional ingredients.

We visited in the winter so I am not sure if they are paying homage to the cold season devoid of fresh veg, but my shrimp fried rice had a few scant pieces of cabbage and no other veggies. The flavor was gentle and mild.

My girlfriend had the stir fried duck noodles. This was the best dish we had. Again a surprisingly scant amount of veg in the mix, but a nice balanced flavor.

Overall we enjoyed it and look forward to returning, perhaps try the soups, but we both left asking the question ” is our palate just used to over spiced American style foods and this is normal amount of flavor?”

I will be back to test through the changing menu to see

Browsing through the Yelp Best Chinese Restaurant List, found I have never dined at Fortune Wok to Table in Cherry Creek North. Asked around and heard their Shanghai style handmade dumplings and noodles were quite good, so went there and ordered their wonton soup, pan fried pork dumpling and vegetable fried rice. The texture of the wonton and dumplings were pretty good, everything was very tasty. As I was complaining about parking in Cherry Creek North, heard they just opened a second location called Fortune Nong Jia Le in Washington Park (500 E Alameda Ave Denver). For the sake of parking, will certainly go there next time.

We stopped by for a light dinner and sat in the front courtyard. The downstairs menu has two items, and is meant to capture the feel of Chinese street food, which it does perfectly. We split an order of fried pork dumplings and beef noodles. Both were outstanding. The dumplings are possibly the best in the city, and the noodles are excellent as well. Both are hand made from scratch, and it tastes like it. They now have hand-made soup dumplings the first Sunday of the month. They have a really good dumpling soup in the winter only. Great food, and the service is fast and friendly. We have eaten there several times; the food and service are consistently excellent. One if our favorite restaurants in Denver.

Great spot for a simple, delicious meal! Dumplings were definitely homemade and fresh, as well as everything else (we could hear the wok working in the back lol) They may have a small menu but they sure do it well!

Dumplings: very good vegan dumplings!!!!

Veggie noodles: fresh and not too oily.

I do with (a) larger portion size and (b) more veggies with the noodles.

Small seating area that was comfortable. Outdoor picnic tables available.

Simple menu and FANTASTIC DUMPLINGS. everything else was good, yes, the noodles and fried rice but OMG THE DUMPLINGS. We got an order of pork dumplings – pan fried is the way to go. And they. Were. Outstanding. Truly the best I’ve had in my life so far. We ordered another plate of them before leaving at ate them all. Come here for the dumplings. (And the other food too, of course)

Stay for the dumplings.

Get the dumplings.

Dumplings.

That is all I have to say.

Not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews. They serve dumplings. They’re ok. Nothing to rave about. I was thinking maybe the reviews are about the noodles but no they are raving about the dumplings. It wasn’t busy and it wasn’t bad but there is nothing to be excited about.

Had the beef, pork and veggie dumplings. All were ok. Cooked perfectly and reasonably seasoned.

For a quick meal if you’re already shopping here then sure otherwise I’d pass
