It was the perfect rainy day to have shabu-shabu, and Mikiya did not disappoint. We chose the Silver Wagyu set, and the quality of the meat was really impressive. We tried all the different wagyu selections included, and every single one was so good, tender, flavorful, and high quality.
We also ordered the wagyu nigiri and wagyu tartare. The wagyu nigiri was my favorite, it literally melts in your mouth. So rich and buttery.
The set also comes with vegetables and seafood. Unfortunately, the oyster wasn’t available that day, which made me a little sad, but overall everything else was great.
As for the service, I understand they had just opened when we came in, but it did take quite a while for someone to assist us. It wasn’t busy, and we had to stand up just to get their attention since most of the staff were in the kitchen. I hope service improves over time because the food quality is definitely there.
This spot is definitely on the fancier side for shabu-shabu.

The wagyu beef was a bit sticky on the plate, and although it tasted good, I wasn’t sure if it was as fresh as other Mikiya restaurants. The waiter was very handsome and kindly helped me retrieve my retainers that I had left in the restaurant. Many thanks!

Wagu Shabu House is such a cozy and comfortable spot! The seafood is super fresh, the beef is great quality, and there are plenty of vegetables and tasty side dishes. The staff are really friendly and cheerful, which makes the meal even better.

Amazing restaurant . This experience took me back to Japan . Totally worth it . Since you walk in the restaurant the broth aroma captivates you. Sauce bar .2 types of curry , rice and ice cream bar all included in the all you can eat .
We made a reservation for outdoor seating and super fast got the table once we arrived . . Great selection of meats and sea food and I think the best seasonal vegetables plate I had in Oahu .
We got the silver option for 2 and it was more than enough . 2 broths we picked spicy miso and the house special we really liked both but the miso is always a winner in our house .
Service was incredible. . fast just like Japan . Very efficient and attentive . The service team is always making sure you having a great time .
The food was fresh .beautifully presented and most importantly very tasty .
We didn’t even need to order refills because the portion size was more than enough for the both of us on the first round .
Definitely will come back. Also great deals during lunch .

I was super sceptical at the fact that Waygu loves to be thrown into the menus but when it reaches the table, what is that!!
Let me tell you, this place is nothing like that! It definetly lives to it’s name the Waygu house. The soup base choices had added flavors. Our group of friends did the Diamond choice and seriously told the waiter we wanted 100 servings of Waygu. No joke, I’m pretty sure we reached that amount by the time we were done. We had BYOB, our friends brought in ume beer, which went well with our meal. The seafood choices were aesthetically presented. We sat outdoors, which we loved this option because our clothes didn’t smell. The waiter was amazing, we weren’t even done taking the orders, and our food was out!
The Waygu though , butter soft, thin cut, and perfect to the taste of all 4 soup bases we chose.

Randy was our server for lunch and he was amazing. He was friendly and polite where he took his time to explain everything. Very attentive even bringing us things like rice and drinks which were part of the self serve area. He made recommendations on how to pair things together including the fried buns w/the self serve creams to “balance out” the meal. Absolutely the best service I’ve had in a very long long time. Thank you, Randy for making this meal even more memorable than it was. Excellent meat, broth and service.

Amazing experience! Great food and even better service! It was our first time here and we just walked in. Even without a reservation, Randy and the rest of the Mikiya Team really went above and beyond in terms of customer service! It is all you can eat Shabu Shabu and there are different tiers. Higher tiers give you more options such as A5 wagyu and can even be unlimited depending on the tier. We got the silver tier and it came with American and Australian Wagyu. Don’t skip out on the fried mini bun, you will regret not getting it! We will definitely come back here again! If dining with a big group of people, make a reservation. Also, they validate parking. Just be sure to show the host at the front, and do not end your parking time or else you will not be able to validate it.

The food here was so delicious! My favorite was the bone marrow specialty and the Australian brisket in the tomato broth! The service here is immaculate too! Our server, Jiehao Z, was amazing! He consistently checked on us and was super quick and efficient with taking all our nonstop orders and bringing out the food. He was friendly, kind, and a hardworker! I definitely recommend asking for him to be your server to maximize your experience!
