Saag makki roti platter was great tasting! Ajwani paneer tikka was alright. Dahi bhalla was nice too. Overall authentic tasting Punjabi food, together with ambiance, music and friendly host, it is a must try restaurant!

Had a great dining experience at Haveli Punjab Di in Woodbridge. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, while the paneer makhanwala was soft, flavorful, and indulgent. The butter garlic naan and laccha paratha were fresh from the tandoor and paired beautifully with the curries. Warm ambience and good service made it even better. Definitely a solid spot for authentic Punjabi food.

Beautifully and creatively decorated! Option to order at the front or have a server. Our server was very kind, helped us with our choices, and gave 2 old friends enough time to chat. We had veggie samosas and pakora nests for apps. Both were good and I liked how the pakora were patties. For dinner we enjoyed soya champ masala (soy based meat substitute), baingan ka bharta (eggplant), and the special kulcha. I had never tried soya so can’t compare but it was yummy. My friend loved his dish too. The kulcha was huge and we had leftovers of everything! Wish I lived closer to visit more often.

Everything was excellent — from the ambiance to the food and service. The Dahi Bhalla, Dal Makhni, and Butter Chicken are must-tries. The Amritsari Kulche were large, perfectly made — soft, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyable.

A very good restaurant for North Indian cuisine. The food has authentic taste, ambience is full North Indian with khaat seating and Punjabi music.

Parvati was amazing. The food is outstanding. Got what we expected out of the menu. Highly recommended for veg and non-veg alike.
PS: Do try the Moong dal halwa with extra ghee on top – out of this world.

I visited this place and it didn’t meet my expectations. If you come to this place thinking you will have authentic punjabi food then this might not be the place for you. Food was very disappointing.

We ordered
Szechaun Noodles – i would give 4 out of 5, it was tasty but little cold.

Tandoori Soya Chap – I would give 3 out of 5, little oily

Haryali Paneer Tikka – i would give 5 out of 5, the only thing i liked the at the place. Everything was perfect with this dish

Panner butter malsa, daal tadka , roti- i would give 3 out of 5, it was not the great, more of sweet side

Jira rice – it was not cooked at all.

I would not come again to this restaurant

Update – 05/30/2025:
The quality of the food has really deteriorated. The floor is sticky and slippery and the staff is severing at each other in the dining hall.
The fish amritsari/ fried fish however still taste good.
But everything else just seemed over priced as compared to the quality.
The bhatoora was fried in stinky oil. The malai kofta was over sweet. Butter chicken – ‍♀️ such a disgrace.
We really loved this place at our first visit – but since then the quality has really deteriorated.

Authentic Punjabi Flavors & Amazing Ambiance!

Haveli Punjab Di brings the true essence of Amritsar to New Jersey with its vibrant Punjabi aesthetics and an incredible selection of dishes straight from the streets of Punjab.

Here’s what we tried:

Chilli Chicken Momos – Packed with bold flavors, perfectly saucy, and absolutely delicious.
Tandoori Chicken – Marinated in rich, smoky spices and cooked to perfection.
Amritsari Fish – A staff recommendation that did not disappoint! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with mooli and chutney.
Choley Bhature – Nothing short of perfection! Fluffy bhature paired with flavorful choley.
The Star of the Show – Amritsari Kulcha – Buttery, crisp, and bursting with flavors, served with chutney, dahi, and choley. Just like the ones in Amritsar!
We were already full, but we couldn’t resist the main course:

Dal Makhani & Tandoori Roti – Creamy, rich, and an absolute comfort meal that made us overeat—totally worth it!
Hats off to Haveli Punjab Di for an unforgettable food experience. We’ll definitely be back for more!
