The food is generally ok, I prefer to get the rice and peas (has great flavor). However, the service is horrible. They open late, are generally not friendly, seem to be bother when you ask any questions, and don’t have what’s on the menu most often. If they get better service and fix these things. Rating could go up.

The light skin girl with the brown eyes need customer service training. Also if your promoting a dish (Cajun Jerk Pasta) I’ve had multiple times at the one on old national which is actually a way better location. Then sell that dish and if asked about it don’t give attitude and say you don’t have it!

I should’ve looked at the reviews before coming here. I’m a truck driver and travel a lot so I’ve experienced a lot of different Jamaican food.
The food was not bad at all. It just wasn’t great. Didn’t really have any flavor, but it wasn’t bland. Rice was cook cooked. Cabbage was cooked. Jerk Chicken was a little dry.
Good portion the atmosphere in the employees didn’t bother me much but they weren’t friendly either

So I had the taste for some Jamaican patties. I stopped by here and decided to get the veggie patty as well as a shrimp patty. The prices are pretty decent for the patties. The veggie patty is $2.20 and the shrimp patty is $2.65. I had never had the shrimp patty and wasn’t really sure how I would like it but it was super duper tasty. I was definitely a little disappointed with the veggie patty, which had a lot of the frozen mixed vegetables in it, which I tend not to like. Definitely was not authentic, definitely was not homemade, and I definitely will not order it again. Both were very flaky, which was a plus. The restaurant was busy, so I’m assuming the rest of the food is really good. I’ve never had it so I can’t speak much on that. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was also friendly. I did like how they put the patties inside a wrapper that specified which patty I had. Definitely plan to return to get the shrimp patty only.

We typically come here very often. Today’s experience was HORRIBLE. The customer service was a service we had never seen or experienced before. The receipt says Amoy was out server. She looked annoyed, irritable, we were even uncomfortable telling her what else we wanted. It was not pleasing at all. She was serving us with so much anger, slamming the cover to the rice. Not one single smile, it was terrible. Rolling her eyes, and annoyed as soon as we were going to start ordering. She should stay home, everyone else is always pleasant when we go. We will not be returning ever again.

So me and my friend stopped by the restaurant sometime around 7:30/7:40 Pm and the lady with the pink hair was rushing our order as if she couldn’t wait for us to hurry up and leave. Mind you, this is my friend’s first time coming here so he wasn’t sure of the menu. I heard her say in her Jamaican accent “why Dey always do this” and sucking her teeth. She seemed so frustrated. I presumed it was because it was approaching closing time but In any case, I felt like we had enough time to order and leave. we did not feel welcome. That light skin lady with the pink hair should not work in customer service. Suffice to say that we won’t be back. Terrible Attitude!!!!

Food was ok got the jerk chicken, but my real gripe is with the service. Went to pay and the system asked was I tipping I clicked no, once I turned tablet around, guy gonna tell me see you getting extra charge since you didn’t leave tip. What??!! Sure enough “service charge” on my ticket. I guess cause he had to lift the spoon he deserved it. And he didn’t know whether I was gonna cash tip but definitely not talking like that. On top of that,,there’s already a sign at the front of the food saying we’ve increased our prices due to inflation or whatever.

The restaurant was spotless, they had customers social distancing while lined up to order (dine in is thankfully not available at the moment), the plates are all affordable, they’re heavy handed with the sauce (a true blessing), and their customer service is efficient and immaculate. I am extremely satisfied with the curry and jerk chicken plates that I ordered. Today was my first time purchasing from this place but it definitely won’t be the last!

Not going to lie I love their brown stew chicken, oxtails and beef patties. BUT the goat isn’t as good and their jerk chicken isn’t the best either. I stick to the same things when I go there now because ik I won’t be disappointed especially because it’s so expensive. Some (not all) of the staff act like you’re disturbing their peace when you just wanna get a plate of food but besides that I’m gonna keep going. The food isn’t bad, could be better, but the service is the worst issue. And they absolutely expect you to tip them not matter how nice or mean they are.

First, they don’t acknowledge your presence until you pay , in addition, after I got my food, and was eating, I found a red piece of hair in my oxtails. Very unhygienic and disgusting, will not return again and would never recommend anyone to this specific restaurant.
