First time and had the Monday special. 1/4 pound burger with fries. Added queso to the fries! A lot of bread for the burger but the flavor was great and fires were really good!!

I first tried Maplewood in Lake Charles. I honestly wasn’t impressed. With the food and especially the customer service. I thought I would give this place a try still. All I can say is wow! The atmosphere at this location is so much better. The manager was amazing. He checked on everyone multiple times. Assisted his employees. He even checked on them and explained stuff amazingly when one questioned something. Definitely a boss you would look for. The food was magnificent. Hot and fresh! However, the only complaint I have is that the portions are small for the price… the other location had a larger portions. Example: we ordered the fried pickles. Maybe 15 small pickles for $5-$7? A little too pricy for me. Same with the onion rings as well. That’s my only complaint. So I’ll take a star away. Other then that it’s fantastic! I’ll try again and update my review of the portion changes.

The food and service is amazing. The meat is tender, the shakes are amazing. Best shakes I’ve had in forever. It’s not a place you want to sit in if you have any hearing left.
The ringing from the TVs makes my brain vibrate. 60db of pure manufactured tinnitus. It could be a torture mechanism. It’s been like that for months. They have 11 televisions on mute that do nothing but angrily scream at you the sound of its horrible species.
I’d rather stare at the wall and no TV. I’d rather miss all the games.
However, I can just order to-go. I just figured the issue would be fixed by now (it’s been months since I decided to eat in) but idk what they can do to fix it.
To be fair, if I HAD to eat in and be subjected to 90 of the Phillips TVs and couldn’t get to-go, I’d just have to deal with it because the food is amazing.

Great burgers, friendly and quick service. We dined in, very clean. Ordered two stuffed burgers (shrimp and bacon), nice presentation and delicious. Burgers were hot on the inside, had seen reviews where they were just warm. Kick sauce is great, good flavor and just enough heat. A bit on the pricey side, two combos and one scoop of ice cream plus tip was about $45. But it should be expected for high quality food, so we will definitely return. Nice locally owned spot for a great gourmet burger.
