Let me start by saying:
This Dairy Queen is too clean for its own good.
Parking lot? Clean.
Inside? Clean.
Air itself? Probably filtered through a government-grade Blizzard purifier.
I rolled through the drive-thru and before I could even finish mentally judging the menu, a polite red-headed human ray of sunshine appeared at the window, took my money, vanished, and returned with two strawberry sundaes like she was on a Dairy Queen pit crew.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I was in and out in under two minutes.
That’s not a drive-thru. That’s a teleportation portal.
Now yes, I ordered the easiest thing on Earth —
two strawberry sundaes.
Which is literally:
ice cream + strawberry stuff = happiness.
But they were:
• Not messy
• Not dripping
• Not sad
• And most importantly… not rushed-looking
Even the vibe was calm. Inside was empty, quiet, peaceful — like a frozen-dairy monastery.
The front patio was covered in snow, but I respect the confidence.
This place said, “We are clean, even when nature tries to fight us.”
Five stars.
Not because they changed my life…
…but because they did exactly what Dairy Queen is supposed to do — fast, clean, polite, and delicious.

i would leave no stars if i could. i frequent here and they’re consistently rude, tonight i went through the drive through for a burger and a salad. they forgot the ranch, so i went inside and i sat inside with a family of 8 behind me for almost 15 minutes. for a ranch! no one even batted an eye at me, said they would be there in a minute, or anything along the lines. just blantly ignored me and the large family behind me for 14 minutes. will not be back. 35 minutes total spent here for A BURGER and A SALAD. i have done fast food which is why i haven’t left a review on their attitudes until today.

I ordered four large blizzards off the mobile app and the time said to be there at 6:56 PM, we arrived at 6:57 PM and our order was not ready. After 5 minutes standing there a young man asked us what we were there for and I said we’re here for our mobile order which we’re standing right under the mobile order sign and so he hollers towards the back of the kitchen that mobile order is here he waits about a few more minutes and hollers again before he takes it upon himself to go back there while he’s back there another young lady, who’s a coworker asked him if he was making them and he snapped at her with a bad attitude saying he’s making them And then after 10 more minutes so total 20 minutes we get the Blizards and they’re runny with not much of the “goodies” so mostly vanilla ice cream, but what’s worse is he makes them up and didn’t know which was which so they then had to take it back to the kitchen in the back there to figure out who’s is who’s. We (my husband and me) talk to the manager instead of offering any resolution or even apologizing, he just kept making excuses that they’re down two employees. I understand they’re down employees, but there was not only him that’s walking around and has saw us standing there and did nothing, but also the young man that finally went back there to make it wasn’t doing anything initially. Someone could have said we’re behind and apologized then let us know about how much longer our order would be. I love Dairy Queen but this establishment here at 1233 Pinelake ave, Laporte Indiana 46350 really upseted us.

Polite staff. DQ cakes have gone down hill! Look nothing like picture advertisements! Literally no fudge in middle or cookie crunch! Crunch at back only, not through out…..skimpy out BIG time and your paying over $35 dollars for a cake! Ridiculous!! Will not be getting cakes there anymore and we have for over ten years! I’ll be traveling to better DQ out of Laporte from now on!

Why are there always flies flying around your establishment. Dirty place and food was cold. Makes me think you never clean that place with so many flies landing on your food. Totally discusting.

Couldn’t even order as the two guys working couldn’t understand English. We wanted Sundaes and they kept saying Blizzards. We gave up and went elsewhere.
