I love coming and dining in the mornings, and getting pizzas Friday nights.
Absolutely 10/10 establishment, would recommend!
also they have literally the best fries and cheeseburgers. I don’t know how but their burgers are so freaking good
The place was modest. I prefer to dine-in usually. Our server was quite cheerful and enthusiastic lady – she promptly cleaned the table and came for the order. My teenager son who loves pizza placed his order almost on cue while I took my own time.
Pizza did not take too long. I found the pizza to be better than the usual fare (Dominos or Papa Johns). More expensive too but not super expensive.
We seem to have settled in to enjoy our pizza when the first problem showed up. My son brought to the server’s notice that his pizza was a “whole wheat” or whole grain pizza while his order was for Whole Pizza (instead of slice) and not a whole wheat pizza. I was trying out a pie from his pizza and did find it taste “different” than usual but personally preferred that he would eat the whole wheat Pizza than the normal fare – “whole wheat” sounds healthier.
But my teenage son is a picky eater. He insisted on his regular Pizza.
Soon the manager came. She asked if we would be ok with a discount and like to take the pizza home. My son explained that he just wanted his regular pizza (with his configuration) and not the whole wheat Pizza that was in front of us. The manager asked if we would like to take the “Whole Wheat” pizza home and I agreed.
My son got his regular Pizza after 15-20 minutes and we had an uneventful dinner.
That until the final bill arrived. It was 84/- . On close scrutiny, we noticed that we were charged for the whole wheat Pizza that was a mistaken order. We brought it to the server’s notice. The nice lady looked surprised herself and took it back to the manager for the “discount”. But came back after sometime saying “The manager had applied 3% discount” and there wasn’t anything else she can do since it was all up to the manager.
I was genuinely amused. I am generally sympathetic to the servers in the food industry – they work hard and are usually not paid well – and didn’t want to drag it any further. She seemed apologetic as is. I left her a small tip on top of the “bad bill”.
But as I walked out, I told my son that this place was short on ethics and at least I wasn’t going back there. He mostly disagrees with me like most teenagers do – but on this one, he nodded in agreement.
The place needs a good manager.
