I usually always order via ubereats due to convenience but thought I’d go in person for date night and they had a 20% weekday offer going on.
The restaurant itself was fairly fancy but dark so great for date nights or a quiet catch up with friends and family. My partner had a cake for me and the staff took it and handled the celebrations perfectly, our server was super kind and made sure that we were enjoying our dining experience throughout.
We ordered a sharing platter which I’ve never tried before and that was surprisingly good, a mix of lamb, salmon and chicken grilled pieces and they were incredibly succulent. For mains we got a fish and lamb curry and they were super tasty too paired with rice, naan and poppadoms as a side.
You could tell the staff and chefs are super close and they were all part of the celebrations too, we couldn’t help but give some cake too to the staff that made our experience here do great.
Great for delivery and great for eat in dining, regardless of the occasion, I wish more people came here as it was fairly quiet during the weekday we went.
We were 5 people and asked for a bigger table as the place was empty and we wanted to be comfortable in the small place.
The steward was cold and not at all welcoming.
Food was tasty but portion size is disappointing.
The steward ruined our meal by approaching us at 4:30 and stating that he received a booking for 11 people at 5 so he will need the table by then.
We didn’t have the heart to pay service fee but still paid for the people who prepared the meal for us.
Horrible attitude of the steward. He needs to know he needs to be welcoming and humble.
Was silently greeted and sat down, we was the only 2 people there which is fine. ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, with rice and my friend ordered a Paneer Curry with Garlic Naan. and a sweet lime soda drink.
The waiter was very quiet didn’t really say anything actually.
The drink didn’t have much fizz to it and the lime was very diluted, the portion sizes were fairly small. which means the value for money wasn’t great. the chicken tikka masala just taste like tomato soup with chicken chunks. my friend curry was similar. the naan was really small for the price.
My friend asked the water for tap water (since they are a licensed premises they have to provide it free). took about 10 minutes to get from the bar behind him to our table.
Overall for £33 was fairly expensive as we could get similar but of better quality in our home city for around £25. I was going to ask them to remove the service charge as standard but I felt bad because we were the only people there.
The staff and chef were incredibly hospitable and friendly, making us feel truly welcome throughout our meal. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their service.
Highly recommended — one of the best Indian dining experiences in Manchester! Will definitely be coming back soon.
The place is super expensive as compared to some other indian places
They do have quite a good selection of wine.
We had told our server clearly that we do not want any ginger piece on top as garnishing, however we still had a ginger slice in our paneer veg. The server was not apologetic when complained about it and just said, sorry its just one piece. Not something i would accept from a place where i am paying so much money
We also had 2 house flies flying over our table.
