We had Cauliflower Buffalo Bites for appetizers, a South by Northwest salad with bacon and a Mile HIgh Turkey sandwich. Our drinks were a non-alcoholic Sam Adams and a ginger beer. Our dog got some refreshing water. The staff was present and supportive, all good. The tables on the sidewalks started to fill up while we were there. Overall a bit tight sitting setup once all the tables are full, but this evening we had enough space.

We went for a Saturday brunch in late July of 2025 and everything we ate was Soooo Goood! We had the grilled salmon salad, Bravo avo toast with smoked salmon, and a Denver skillet. Each of us raved about how good our meals were, so we all shared bites of every meal with each other, and everything tasted amazing! We also got some pastries/donuts to top things off and they were great as well. This restaurant is a stones throw away from where the new Northwestern football stadium will be. This restaurant is pretty well known in Evanston, but once that stadium is completed, there will most likely be lines down the block to get into this place. We spoke to one of the owners who was super nice. He has many years of experience in the restaurant business, and it shows. This is a very clean place, the decor is very nice, the staff if very friendly and attentive, and the food is top notch! The next time we are in town, we are definitely coming back!

The wings are amazing- the smoked flavor really comes through and has the buffalo style. The meat portion is super generous and they give you a great sized amount of ranch although it was needed because of the outstanding flavor. I used the ranch for the fries – bartender was awesome and on it! I will be back

Great casual duvet spot for solo diners to groups. Diverse menu options with so many that look good, we’re already planning our next visit to try other things. In this visit, we were particularly happy with the roasted tomato soup on special, (passed on the great sounding special grilled seafood medley tacos in favor of a half slab of ribs the husband was craving), the decisions and generously portioned ahi wanton appetizer and one of the full sized salads. We also tried beer, wine and cocktails from the nice options available in all categories. Friendly and helpful team service made the dinner even more enjoyable. Great value too.Happy they’re now on inKind.

We checked out this place with a few people on the Saturday evening after Christmas and were still amazed how empty the place was. Did everyone truly leave town? It’s located right down the street from Northwestern University’s football stadium (whatever the heck they’re naming it). This is a nice hidden gem in Evanston. Not located downtown, it may have a chance to stick around a while.
As Jane V. noted in her review, you are greeted by a delicious smoky smell when you enter the restaurant. It was an inviting smell (at least for me), others in our group thought we were walking into a barbecue joint and were less than thrilled, but the menu put them at ease as it has a lot of options.
There were five of us and one couple decided to share a couple appetizers as their entrees. They ordered the Cauliflower Buffalo Bites, and the Macho Nacho. They were huge portions easily enough for us all to share. However, my wife and I don’t see eye-to-eye with our eating habits (she is mostly vegetarian and I’m a card-carrying carnivore), so she was not about to share the smoky wings and cheesy tots with me. I opted for the Chicken Vesuvio entree, and she and our other friend both ordered the Inside-Out Grilled Cheese. I would say most the sandwiches looked good (no portobello for me, thanks).
I would say though, the desserts are pretty generic, so we opted out, but their is a door inside the restaurant to the donut shop next door (which was closed), but I wanted to try that place, so I’ll have to make another trek out there for them and review them later.
I’m amazed that the donut shop, DB3 Donuts, does not appear on their menu at all, despite having a connecting door from one establishment to the other, but alas, I’ve heard their apple crisp and brownie are good, but neither were too appealing that night.
All meals were delicious and I definitely need to go back and try other dishes. And may DB3, if they are open.
Give this place some love as it is a nice gem in Evanston.

A great spot for date night or hanging with friends/family. Would not recommend for families with small kids (puts a damper on the date night vibe). However, food is delicious & portions are more than enough. Would definitely return.

Outstanding Every Year!
We host our annual private event at Ten Mile House, and they never disappoint. The setting is perfect for our group of 25, and the food and drinks are always exceptional. Planning is effortless thanks to Eric and his attentive team, making the entire experience stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great cuisine and flawless service!

First time dining at Ten Mile House this evening and we can’t wait to go back and try more menu items. We chose this restaurant since it is a quick drive to Space, where we were seeing a show this evening. Our server was friendly and prompt. We had the seared romaine salad, pesto bucatini , and brisket platter. All were fantastic. We met the owner, who noticed my hoodie, and he changed the music to one of our favorite bands songs. We talked about music and shows and had a really nice conversation. Both our server and owner checked in on us a few times and made sure we were satisfied. From the moment we were greeted at the host stand to the time we left everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend.

The wide variety of food is good both for brunch and dinner. Biggest for us is that it’s very family friendly – not too crowded, spacious, quick and friendly service, and a lot of kid-friendly options from happy face pancakes to small pizzas.

They are really good at accommodating large groups especially if you take children. We went for a brunch gathering and we appreciated their effort to serve everyone at the same time.
Their menu is diverse and their entrees are massive for the most part. Overall, the experience was great but some dishes were a bit sweet for our taste.
