Highly highly recommend this pizza joint for your next dinner out. We found Pie Punks on google and were drawn to it because of its very good reviews. The decor and ambience of this place is unmatched, it’s got a great vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff and friendly and they have a great selection of drinks and food. We ordered a Detroit pizza and salad to share, both of which were delicious, fresh and presented well. Service was also very quick. Cannot recommend this restaurant more to someone who wants fast service and tasty food.

Came here with a group of 6 and was seated immediately!

Good:
– Pizza was delicious, I liked the sausage grandma the best
– the pizza tasted healthier than other pizzas I’ve had, not too oily
– Great portion sizes! We had so much pizza leftover and it was good value

Bad:
– The place was a bit dim
– Detroit pizza was smaller for the price

Overall this was so much fun and loved the pizza it was quite tasty

Convenient location for a pizza bite after happy hour. They have a variety of pies. My favorite was their normal grandma slice – the classic. Love the tomato and basil combo. The bottom was very crispy and crunchy. I’ve tried their vodka martini and I wasn’t a a big fan of the olives because it was too salty and overpowering.

Overall, love the joint. It was very classic pizza bar vibes but not too rowdy.

I was looking to try a new pizza spot in the city, and Pie Punks was close to my hotel—so we decided to give it a shot, and I’m glad we did. The atmosphere has a fun mix of pop culture and vintage vibes, which I really enjoyed. The energy inside the restaurant was great.

We sat at the bar top and were helped right away. To start, we ordered some cheese curds, and then shared two different slices of pizza to try a bit of everything. The cheese curds were amazing—honestly, they were my favorite part of the meal. The pizza was okay—not bad, but nothing too special.

I’d definitely come back, especially since it’s close to where I usually stay when I’m in the city. The vibes are on point, and it’s a cool spot to hang out and grab a bite.

We came here for dinner after a conference at the Moscone center. It’s less than a 10 min walk. The indoor seating was full so we ate outside.

I ordered the Detroit style chopped cheese pizza and my friend ordered the round pepperoni. The chopped cheese was delicious. It was melt cheese, ground beef, ketchup, lettuce, pickle and tomato and was so good. The crust was thick but light and fluffy. I really liked it.

I tried the pepperoni too and enjoyed it, but not as much as the Detroit style.

The service was friendly though they never refilled our waters.

I’d definitely come back. Very good pizza.

Stumbled upon this place when trying to find a place to eat somewhat near the Financial district.

We got half tomato and half garlic round pizza and both were delicious! Crust was perfect thickness and the two kinds of pizza that we ordered balanced each other really well. Really loved how the garlic pizza had actual pieces of garlic on top 😉

Vibes inside were great as well!

Came for dinner and ordered had the Grandma with a side cheese curds – very good.

They offer a deep dish, medium crust and a thin crust. Would have loved to try the thin crust pizza but the Grandma was more than enough for two.

I was also happy that they had a variety of beers and had Miller Lite available.

5 stars, truly! Great friendly service from Karina and Jo: A+ and attentive with smiles. Add in the positive vibes and the look and feel of the place and you already have a winner. By the time the food comes you already feel like you won, but then the pizza way over-delivers and turns out to be some of the best pizza in the city. It was excellent! Cooked perfectly with a crisp edge, fresh ingredients, and you know they use a high quality cheese by the taste. We ordered a second pizza and the lasagna to try and they were spectacular, as well. This place is great! They had a great selection of drinks, and again, are just so friendly and down to earth. Thanks again to Karina for being so wonderful! We will be back and have been sharing how good your food is with others. Definitely worth going out of the way for. A+ Detroit style Pizza in a great spot with an even better staff… Try it!

Great, kinda dive-y spot to stop in for a beer/cocktail and a bite (exactly what my spouse and I like). The cocktails are great, they’ve got a pretty good beer selection (aka not all IPA), and the Grandma slices other than the classic are quite tasty.

We started with a Caesar salad – loved this, right balance of dressing and lettuce and the anchovies brought it all together really well. For pizza my partner got the pepperoni which was really good (little spicy, lotsa flavor, good pepperoni) and I got the classic. It reminded me of grade school pizza – really sweet, a little bready, and you know there’s cheese but it’s kinda flavorless. The nostalgia hit ok for me but I would pick a different slice next time I go back.
