This is more of a review of the rude owner I experienced last night from the owner himself. Thought I would check out the place to possibly bring my wife there and friends as we do quite often out for dinner I was having a conversation with a local couple about different restaurants whether being in Burlington Wisconsin Lake Geneva Wisconsin and several restaurants up in the area and suggested trying a place called Crystal’s Woodlake supper club which is outstanding and a treat and the owner jumped into the conversation and told me doesn’t appreciate me talking about other restaurants while at his business. I can guarantee you that I will never be back and neither will the 40 people I probably told already 66 years I’ve never experienced this before I recommend Visiting the money Friendly family owned businesses in the area but definitely not here. I will continue to tell the story probably for the next month continue to share my experiences overall

My parents live in the area and they come here almost every Friday. They claim the fish is the best they’ve ever had. The owners make everything by hand including the batter. I don’t eat fish so I typically have chicken sandwiches with broccoli bites. Today I had the bacon cheddar tots and they were huge and good. My mom thought the steak sandwich was fantastic as well. The owners are fantastic, the atmosphere is a cool western theme, and always clean. I’ve been here about 10 times and always have good food and service.

We stopped by after a day of hiking and their special was lasagna with garlic toast. It was BEST lasagna we’ve had at a restaurant in years. Clearly homemade, lots of meat in it, and so large neither of us could finish it. We enjoyed the leftovers the next morning for breakfast.
The atmosphere was rustic in a western cafe way, and very friendly. Smiles all around.

I gave it all high stars. The people that work there are hard-working, so friendly and welcoming, not being from the area. It’s nice to go in and not be stared at prices are very reasonable. Food is very, very good.

Food was not hot including the taco salad that was ice cold and pre made pretty sure not by them. The lady was by herself trying to serve people at the bar and cook our food but this was worse then fast food. Barely any fries with the meals and no toppings offered on burgers. The food tasted horrible as well. Fries were plain and all fried food was falling apart because of how saugy it was. Do not get the tuna sandwich as it had about only a teaspoon of tuna in it. Steak sandwich just tasted like straight up grease and was very thin steak. Worst place I’ve ate at up here and wish we just went to MO’s but wanted to give them a try. Don’t go here for food. You will regret it.

It’s a small place and I imagine it fills up quickly. Half the dining room was full and the only sound was a customer cussing at the bar, conversing with the bartender. Some sort of background music would’ve been nice. This definitely felt like a tavern that serves food, compared to a restaurant with a bar. Both the waitress & bartender were friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the 2 piece perch dinner, based on reviews. These were small, thin filets, together, yielding just one perch. I felt the fish was overcooked, but it still tasted good. Other people ordered the cod, and that looked amazing.

Wonderful crowd. Owners are genuine and great people. Food is delicious and price point is unbeatable. Surf n turf for ~25,35 $ fish fry is incredible. Had perch. They were easily 14″ long.

Nice little side of the road Tavern and restaurant with excellent service and food. I had a steak sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! The others in my party also enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints. My compliments to the chef!

The waitress was awesome super attentive but the lobster was not great and the steak was very grisly and I ended up taking it home for my dog lol ok but the appetizers omg the appetizers were soooooo good! I won’t go back for the surf and turf but those appetizers will get me back there!
