Nashville’s Vietnamese food scene is seriously good, and Vinh-Long might just be a top 3 contender.
They’re best known for their Bo Kho, but they were sold out by the time we arrived near closing. My girlfriend and I went with a large pho (emphasis on large), spring rolls, and tempura shrimp. The total came to around $27.
The owner personally served us and was incredibly kind. He made sure to accommodate my no-pork restriction and even brought an extra bowl for sharing without us having to ask.
The pho hit the spot. It was an enormous portion for $12, loaded with noodles and beef. The broth was savory, clean, and refreshing. The spring rolls were freshly wrapped with crisp veggies and came with an outstanding dipping sauce. The tempura shrimp wasn’t mind-blowing, but still solid, especially for the price (four large shrimp for $7).
It’s cash only, so stop by an ATM beforehand.
Final Score: 8.8 -> rounds to 5 stars
Verdict: One of my favorite Nashville hole-in-the-wall spots. Unbeatable value and genuine service.

Ordered the beef wonton soup, I was impressed with all the extras and vegetables. The price was good for the portion. The chili’s were fresh and had great flavor. Neighborhood is questionable, had a bum come in and beg for money. Apparently that was her 3rd time coming in and begging.

Warning: cash only! This place was packed the Saturday afternoon that I went here. It’s a smaller, more intimate Vietnamese restaurant. My table ordered hot coffee, pho with extra meats, the carrot beef stew, spring rolls, and grilled squid body. Prices were very fair, especially since the small sized soups are *large*. Everything tasted amazing and leftovers were even better! The service was excellent. I will be returning and I’ll try to take pics next time.

This is one of my favorite places in town. It’s always delicious. The Pho and Bun are the favs. The Bun with pork sausage and egg rolls is the best in town! Fresh spring rolls are great as well. Don’t forget it’s cash only.

The food here was really good. I think I liked the broth more than my local pho place, but the noodles were not as good; I prefer the flat style rice noodles. The grilled squid was good, so were the spring rolls. I found it interesting that they are playing Luke Martin on YouTube, on repeat, on two different televisions. Overall it was a great stop and I would come back. Be aware they are cash only.
