We tried this place on a whim looking for a close-by indian resturant to call our go-to. Staff was excellent and extremely friendly to us! We ordered the butter chicken, naan, vada with chutney, all of which exceeded our expectations in flavor and spice! The food came out quickly and the server we had even explained to us some of the culture behind the vada we ordered, which i thought was really cool to hear! We finished our meal with a delicious mango lassi and were on our way.

We loved this place so much that we have already recommended some friend gathering at this location in the future. I love the cozy, homey atmosphere and the food is definitely something to come back for. I dont leave reviews often, so I think this place is something special. Eager to try more dishes from them in the future!

I have tried mutton with parotta in many restaurants across Chicago, but honestly I have never tasted mutton this pure and flavorful anywhere else. The mutton curry here is incredibly rich, tender, and full of authentic spices. When you pair it with the flaky parotta, the taste is just amazing.

You can really feel the authentic South Indian flavor in every bite. The parotta is soft and layered, and the mutton is cooked perfectly with the right balance of spices.

If you are a true mutton lover, you must try this place. Highly recommended. One of the best mutton parotta experiences in Chicago.

Amazing food and great customer service. Must try the punugulu – crispy and delicious, they just melt in your mouth. The owners who are the chefs were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped us decide the best food for us to try.

Puri and chicken curry also tasted really good. Would definitely give them a try again.

Paneer fried rice tasted good but was bit oily or buttery.

We visited during summer and even with a canopy and shade, the place was extremely hot and the sun rays hit us hard spoiling the experience. To top it off, they dint have a high chair. They did promise to order one so hopefully that will be solved

The food was just like how your mother usually makes great food. The staff was friendly, and the space was a great place to relax. I tried the punugulu and cut mirchi, and I think I need to try all their menu items.

Today we visited the opening of the cozy family café “Anika’s Kitchen” and were absolutely delighted.
It was our first time getting so closely acquainted with authentic Indian cuisine — everything was incredibly delicious and made with heart. The space is bright, clean, and filled with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It was especially nice to meet the family behind this place — you can feel how much love they’ve put into it. I’m glad to be one of their very first guests, and I’m sure we’ll be coming back again!

Very cute family owned restaurant!! Everyone was extremely friendly. The decor is really pretty.

We ordered stuffed Mirchi Bajji, Chicken Pakora (bone-in) and Chicken 65. Everything was delicious. The bone-in chicken pakora was mouth watering and the chicken 65 was well made.

The menu changes daily and it’s primarily a takeout spot. They also have some board games available if you’d like to snack and play

Come check them out!!!

I have tried many different restaurants. This is the best! Even if you don’t know much about Indian food like me. Food is delicious and full of unique flavours! The best part about this restaurant- it’s a family owned and family works there! By eating here, you are supporting small business and not some chain who cares only about the profits and not quality of food. Here they care about delicious food and share this passion with you! Definitely recommending it to try!

This is small family owned business and is primarily a take-out place with the menu changing daily. The customer service is excellent!! We got the Mirchi bajji, chicken 65, and Chicken pakora (Bone-in). Everything is freshly made. The chicken pakoras were so flavorful and delicious. Also recommend the mango lassi with cardamom.

My partner and I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and finally got to make it for our anniversary dinner…. So glad we did! It was a welcoming experience thanks to all the staff; they made us feel at home. Our server, Paavan had great recommendations and was very attentive during our dine in. The food was authentic and freshly made, which we encountered with the variety of cuisines we ordered.
This place deserves recognition for the unique tastes and aromas in their dishes. Overall we’re very grateful and happy with our anniversary dinner! Thank you to Anika’s kitchen for making it a wonderful experience, we will be back without a doubt.
