Everything about our experience was phenomenal! We had Lisa as our server, and she elevated our evening beyond what we ever imagined. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday exactly a week ago, having never heard of this place before—we just found it on Google and thought, “Why not?” We’re so glad we did.
The food was absolutely top tier. From the very first bite, you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients and prepared with great care. We had two appetizers, 2 entrees, a soup to share, a dessert and 2 drinks, with leftovers to take home! Despite how full we were, we had to finish our first experience here with dessert. The lemon gelato was out of this world delicious-we finished it so quickly!! The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and every dish was bursting with flavour. My husband and I had to pause multiple times during our meal just to appreciate how incredible everything tasted.
Lisa was warm, welcoming, and attentive. She made sure we felt completely taken care of, and her kindness made the night even more special. Another detail that really stood out was hearing the Italian-speaking staff in the restaurant—it added an authentic charm and atmosphere that made the whole experience feel even more special.
We’ve already recommended this restaurant to our family and friends, and we can’t wait to come back ourselves!

I went here for a first date last night. We had very friendly service and such amazing tasting food (Penne & Carbonara Pasta). Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good food, a chill night, calm music, and are exploring their pastas 🙂

The food here is solidly okay. The pasta is routinely overcooked (highly suspect that it’s pre-cooked as a time saver). For dine-in, it’s always, always cold in the winter, especially if they’ve seated you upstairs where the back door is constantly opening for skip drivers. For ordering as delivery, I have never ONCE had an order that didn’t arrive spilled and leaking in the bag. They need to up their packaging game for sure. Also, every single time I’ve ordered, we get the annoying “restaurant needs more time” message. No other restaurant I’ve experienced has been as consistent in needing more time. Best dish: the stuffed seafood shells. The meatballs in the spaghetti and meatballs are also delicious, but the pasta is always overcooked.
Updating to add that I ordered through Skip tonight and there was a staple in my spaghetti. This is a serious health and safety violation and I hope the restaurant takes more care going forward! Not ordering from here again in the near future!

Ordered from Monticchio Ristorante Italiano and was blown away. The bruschetta was fresh and flavourful, the meat lasagna was rich and comforting, and the Caesar salad was crisp and perfectly dressed. To top it off, they included six warm breadsticks, free of charge! Portions were huge, everything arrived hot, and the quality was top-notch. Will definitely be ordering again!

I ordered stuffed pasta with chicken and a side of Greek salad tonight on skip the dishes. The food arrived fast and piping hot. Also they added an order of garlic knots at no charge. This was my first time getting food from Monticchos and it definitely won’t be my last. There is so much food, enough for two people.

I would definitely go back again since I don’t think the meal I chose was the right pick for me, but it was definitely good. Very authentic Italian feel, having visited Rome and Florence just a couple months ago. Lighting was a bit bright and service was fine. We were asked twice if we needed more water when we hadn’t taken a single sip, which was funny. It was very quiet when we were there Sunday evening. Just two other groups in the room that left while we were there.

I can’t speak on service or atmosphere because we ordered through skip the dishes but I can comment on the horrible packaging. Soup was luke warm, half of the portion was in the plastic bag that leaked out of the container. The soup was not put in the proper package. It should have been in a different container with a better lid. Cheese was not melted. Every french onion soup has baked cheese on top. Very disappointing. Threw it out after one bite as it was very unappetizing. Will not be back.

Came here for my two year anniversary with my partner and got a beautiful table next to the restaurant window.

Was a bit disappointed in the dinner. It was subpar. We started with the calamari and french onion soup. The calamari was a bit rubbery, but ok enough for us. The French onion soup was also ok, with a bit too much salt. My husband enjoyed his gnocchi. I had the veal parmigiana, which I wasn’t a fan of. I wanted the meat sauce, not the marinara, which is mutual fault because I forgot to mention it, but I was never asked which one I wanted. We finished off with pistachio ice cream which was delicious.
The waitress was great though.
