Such a cute little deli in the back of a book store! The sandwich was phenomenal, but Nehemiah’s service and hospitality was even more commendable! Great service and great prices! I definitely plan to make a trip back when I’m in the area!

One of the best Italian subs I’ve had in a long time. I always ask for extra mayo on my subs and still need more but they understand the assignment when you say extra mayo! the only “critique” that I would give is that I wish they were toasted but that’s nothing to keep me from coming back! 10/10 recommend

Hidden in the back of a book store (Paperbacks Ink) is one of the most delicious secrets of Newport News. This deli has great sandwiches, custom made for you when you order, full of so many delicious ingredients that a six inch hoagie will easily fill you up for two meals. The staff is super friendly, and the ambiance inside of the book store is extra cozy. Not only are the sandwiches great, but the chicken salad is developing a cult following amongst the employees of nearby stores in the strip mall. Come by for lunch, because unfortunately the book store closes at 5pm, so you can’t do dinner here.

Very cute wholesome cafe inside of the paperback ink bookstore. The food was so so soooo good! My first time there and I will definitely return, they had BBQ on their menu the day I went. I tried a sample of their banana pudding and chicken salad which was really good!! The beans were Fire AND it didn’t have any pork!!! The BBQ pulled pork was also fire!! The portions were good and I enjoyed every bite!

The caramel apple cheesecake crunch was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and crisp — a true treat that left me wanting more. The strawberry–mango lemonade was refreshing, with just the right mix of tang and sweetness, making it a perfect complement to the meal.

First of all to be inside of a bookstore is amazing and delightful. The atmosphere was wonderful. The people are so friendly, its like family. I have the chicken salad all the time. I have had the broccoli soup, the bean soup, and the chili. My other favorite is the chef salad. There are so many options but I’m stuck on those for now.

This place is pretty good and reasonably priced. With the name I did expect a Philly cheesesteak, but was limited to croissants sandwiches and wraps.
The staff are all friendly and made my order as requested. I’m not sure why that’s so difficult at chain restaurants. However, it did take 35 minutes to get a turkey croissant w/ lettuce and mayo.
Seating is limited to 5 or 6 tables. Unfortunately, people were sitting at the tables waiting on to-go orders and I couldn’t sit and eat my food.
With all that said, I’ll definitely be back. Next time I’ll call ahead and order something to-go.

Great little sandwich and coffee shop. The owners were incredibly nice and mad some amazing hogies and sandwiches. Very good value for your money. Everything was fresh and you could tell they loved making it. We will definitely be back!
