If you are hungry when you leave, it is your own fault! Sunday lunch is traditional Czech food and it did not disappoint. Wall is decorated with vintage photos and posters from polka shows. My only lament is they were out of kolaches by the time we got there. But the delightful meal and friendly service made up for it!

Had the roast pork dinner with saurkraut, dumpling, Bohemian rye bread and dressing. Excellent. One server and one cook served over 50 people. Had to wait about 50 minutes after putting in order. Didn’t know what order they served Patrons, but many who came after were served before us. If you like Czech food, this is the place to come for large portions!

Very good roasted pork dinner served with sour kraut, dumplings and good rye bread. Others in our group ordered the duck dinner and it was just as good. It was the perfect place to celebrate my parents 55th anniversary. We had a group of about 28 people and they were very attentive and welcoming. I would recommend calling about a week ahead if you will visit with a group as we did. They are located in a small town and don’t always get larger groups, so we called ahead to order our pork and duck dinners. This helped ensure that they had prepared enough of these specific foods that people in our group were looking forward to.

Great Duck and Dumplings on Sunday. But if you want this you have to Call Tuesday or Wednesday and reserve your meal. They also have Pork and Dumplings as well which you don’t have to call ahead for. Saturday night they have Prime Rib to die for.
All the time they have ice cold Pivo (beer).

A dirty restaurant. Floor tiles are pealing off, ceiling tiles are stained. The toilets are put together with hoses and held together with wire. The staff fight with each other. Staff is unresponsive. The water had a strong taste of bleach. They couldn’t even get pancakes and sausage right. Not worth the drive to the middle of nowhere for mediocrity.

Small private gathering. The food was delicious, duck dinner. Kolaches were fresh. Our waitress did a great job by herself, 30+ people.

We stopped in to pick up kolaches to-go on a Saturday morning. They had a list of several flavors along with a few other bakery items. Our apple and raspberry kolaches were delicious, as was the sticky roll that our daughters shared. Worth the stop if you are in the area!

Family run business with a small town feel and lots of love put into everything they do. Great history and authentic Czech food and beer. Live polka bands every Friday night.

Growing up in South East Nebraska, I had heard people talk about Kolache, but had never actually tasted or even seen it. I had friends that would go out and drive around in the “Bohemian Alps” looking for kolache. I don’t recall them ever bringing any home. I eventually figured that it was just an excuse to drive around in the country (there may have been beer involved). I also came to the conclusion that kolache was just a myth, and that hunting for kolache was something akin to Snipe hunting… A joke to be played on the young and naive. Now I know that kolache is real, and the Kolache Korner proves it. There’s a small town (Prague) atmosphere, nice people and great kolache. I don’t know if it’s the best as it’s the only kolache I’ve had, but it’s pretty darn good. Absolutely worth the adventure.
