What a great little down to earth place. Not a upscale place when alligator nuggets on the menu. The food is diner like food, but was better the TGIF Fridays and Applebee’s, The wings were really great. The best part was of this place was it looks like you were in a old buccaneer hut with pirates all around. Yes I ordered a lot of stuff on the menu , and I mean a lot. The fried chicken , the fried pickles, the alligator nuggets , the ribs , brisket sandwich, wings, yes I mean a lot and I we had a feast and still didnt break $150 dollars. Nuts the whole family and food was taken home. The staff was amazing, . Place was clean bathrooms were clean. We will becoming back they said they have outside eating in the summer.

I really try not to be overly harsh but I just couldn’t stand this food. It was very loud and hard to get service because it was so busy. The drink price was fine. I ordered Shrimp & Grits and it was not edible. The sandwich was also not good- not even sure exactly what it was. We won’t be giving them another shot, it was that bad.

Absolutely loved Rye Roadhouse. This hidden gem is located in an area you’d never expect. Unless you know about this place or are the super-curious food-loving and enjoy exploring like my daughter, you’d never know it existed and offering such yummy Cajun cuizine. Food was absolutely delicious, featuring many traditional Creole Southern dishes with fun decor, laid-back atmosphere and very friendly staff. If I’d close my eyes & heard a jazzy tune in the background, I’d feel like I’m literally in New Orleans. Everything was absolutely delish and highly Popcorn Shrimp, Gator Nuggets, Catfish Po’Boy, and Crawfish & Shrimp Etoufee. My only suggestion would be to give Etoufee a bit more kick, make it a bit more spicy, elevating the CAJUN / CREOLE flavors… but for my daughter, she said was perfect as is and loved it exactly as was served.

Wonderful place with a casual vibe, Rye Roadhouse is a old fashioned bar, situated in a residential neighborhood. The decor is a bit of a throwback. A best-kept-secret sort of place.
They have an extensive menu of Louisiana cooking such as crawfish boil, blackened catfish, po’ boys, gumbo, jambalaya, chilli, beans & rice, gator bites, and fried pickles. They also have Yankee options like burgers, fried chicken, or fajitas.
It’s all good easy-to-understand food that satisfies, and a bit different than anyplace else in Westchester that I know of.
The menu is really varied. My family loves it.

Rye Roadhouse in Rye, NY, is a hidden gem serving up bold Southern flavors with a cozy vibe. Their menu is a tribute to Cajun and Creole cuisine, offering dishes like Creole Gumbo, Southern Fried Chicken, and Grilled Roadhouse Meatloaf. The Southern Fried Chicken is seasoned and fried to order, while the meatloaf is smothered in homemade pan gravy. Sides like mashed potatoes with gravy and collard greens complete the comfort food experience. Don’t miss their signature blue drink, a refreshing cocktail that pairs perfectly with the hearty dishes.

I love the atmosphere at this place and the insane amount of special hot sauces to choose from. The service felt a little rushed and I was disappointed with the portions. Those little cups for the sides felt very stingy to me. I probably will end up buying some of those small batch hot sauces though and the cornbread with the cinnamon butter is definitely a nice touch.

Went for a late lunch. The location is off the main roads so it’s secluded. There was street parking. The ambiance was warm and inviting. We were greeted and seated quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive. The catfish Po’Boy I ordered was seasoned and cooked well. The steamed mussels in red sauce is a must order if you come here. On my next visit, I will be looking forward to the jambalaya. Highly recommended with two thumbs up!

Enjoyed the catfish and fries!! Southern styled rice and beans were a bit disappointing. I expected the beans to be flavorful, they did not taste seasoned at all. Rice and beans arrived in separate bowls. Price was fair and service was good.

Went for brunch first the first time, and excited to try it! I got the steak (medium), and eggs (over medium). It comes with “home fries”… The steak was raw (chewy), the egs were practically hard boiled, and the home fries were huge chunks of potatoes thay were cold in seconds. My gf got the pancakes which were so dry it was hard to choke down. The one thing decent was the Bloody Mary. But I dont recommend the food at all!
We will never be back for brunch, despite the fact that we are walking distance to it.
