We visited Sushi Mura Port Moody as a group with coworkers for a year-end gathering, and it was truly impressive.
It was especially nostalgic to have okonomiyaki for the first time in 18 years — such a pleasant surprise. The karaage wings as an appetizer were also delicious, perfectly crispy and flavorful. I had the spicy tuna, and it stood out with its uniquely sweet and tangy taste.
Thanks to the elegant interior and the incredibly friendly staff, our year-end family-style gathering felt warm, enjoyable, and ended on a very happy note. Highly recommended for group dinners or special occasions!

Our first time eating here and we really enjoyed the experience. The menu was vast and I appreciated the option to order on the iPad and adapt the dishes. I loved the chicken teriyaki sushi and the sweet potato with avocado. Portion sizes were great. My husband tried the ramen and wasn’t a huge fan. Next times he will try the sushi.

Very peaceful and pleasant place to go. I was really pleasantly surprised by the price vs quality of sashimi. The sashimi was very fresh and served in generous pieces – not like those tiny slivers that are still frozen inside at other cheaper places. I also liked that there was no servers/hosts running around (which creates a feeling of chaos at other places), here, you order with the screen at your table, someone brings you what you ordered, and leaves you alone (and you get tea/water refills too of course). Makes it a great place to actually chat with who you came with and not get distracted or torn from conversation frequently.
The house roll was also top quality, really nice fresh ingredients.
No annoying, loud, pop music playing. Nice quiet ambiance really added to the experience.

Came here first time for lunch, place was very nice and service was good. Most importantly the food was delicious! They had a lunch combo special, definitely want to try other dishes here!

Somehow, this fast-growing chain had completely flown under my radar, until I realized there were two locations nearby, so naturally, Port Moody was the first stop. The space is nice and open, but the booths still feel cozy, which is a solid balance. Ordering by tablet is pretty straightforward, and for those who prefer the old-school way, they’ve got printed menus too. We went with a few introductory dishes, and the whole experience was enjoyable. The flavors were on point, portions were generous, and some of their takes were refreshingly unique—like the spice-crusted tuna tataki, where the light sear added just the right contrast to the creamy raw tuna underneath. If they can keep this level of quality while expanding so fast, I’m all for it.

The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant’s location is also very convenient. The only thing that could be improved is the service. When we arrived, all the larger tables were reserved, so even though we placed a big order, we had to sit at a smaller table. Our server kindly said they would move us once a larger table became available, but unfortunately, that never happened, even after some tables opened up. It would have made the experience even better if that promise had been followed through.

When I first walked into this establishment, I was greeted by not only the friendly staff but also the warm, welcoming lighting this place offers. Not only that, the food presentation is excellent, with the chef’s extensive experience, the foods presentation looks flawless. Thank you Sushi Mura for the wonderful and unforgettable experience, 5/5 stars will be coming back.

Portions of the salmon sashimi was big
The portion for the beef yaki udon was smaller than I expected but tasty (although the noodles were a bit on the soft side)
Chicken udon soup was great.
The kids enjoyed the kids meal and the sushi rolls.
Overall, a great experience! Will be back 🙂
