There are many breakfast spots in the Westmont/Downers Grove/Darien area but Harvest Pancake is one of the best. The atmosphere is wonderful with nice booth seating in comfortable chairs, some TVs for sports and a classic pancake house vibe with top notch service.
For the food, the offerings are wonderful with large waffles and pancakes, tasty bacon and toast and the eggs lovely too. The lunch offerings might be better with hamburgers nicely grilled and better than some local pubs.
It’s best to check it out on the weekend with nice specials and hit it at the right time and it’s a great spot more than worth a good hearty brunch to kick off the day.

This is a family owned restaurant where they go above and beyond to please even the fussiest customers.
The staff is phenomenal and on top of everything, they kept our coffee cups and glasses of water full at all times.
The service is outstanding, they really cater to their clientele the way everyone deserves to be treated, with great service and appreciation for their patronage.
If there’s an item you would like, even if it’s not on the menu and they have the ingredients, they will make it for you.
The food is delicious, moderately priced and the portions are very generous.
Their Turkey Panini is phenomenal and the their Green Chilaquiles are delicious.
I also like their bacon Cheese Burgers.
I think they need to expand their menu and their hours.

I would give this place a 100 stars between the food and our server Jennifer absolutely incredible. Food was cooked to perfection and Jennifer treated us like family and even had outstanding conversations with the customers at the tables around us. This was my first time here and I promise I will be back A LOT MORE. This place is a must try. It was 2 of us eating and our bill was under 25.00 absolutely excellent. Look for Jennifer when you go back to be your server I promise you will love her like we did.

Been to this place a few times and I always get the biscuits and gravy. They have a half and full order and I get the full one which will be more than enough for most people. The skillets there are also very good and the pancakes are big and delicious!
Atmosphere is always fairly chill and you are never rushed out for someone else to sit down. 100% recommend if you want breakfast.

Harvest Pancake House is a GEM! Everything about our experience was exceptional. The setting is the quintessential Greek diner—now under new ownership, but still lovingly preserved in every detail.
When our waitress Judy came to take our order, I commented on how clean and well-kept the restaurant was. She smiled, looked over her glasses, and said, “And the kitchen is immaculate too.” I believed her! The cleanliness and care here truly deserve five stars on their own—everything sparkled, and it was clear this place is maintained with pride.
The food was excellent, arriving quickly and piping hot on classic white plates. Pancakes, bacon, fried eggs, Greek toast, omelets, and hash browns—everything looked and tasted exactly as you’d hope. Comfort food, done right.
Service was just as impressive. Judy was wonderful—warm, attentive, and hospitable. The bus staff kept water refilled and cleared plates promptly, adding to the seamless experience.

The chilaquiles are delicious. My wife had the eggs benedict florentine and enjoyed them very much. Portions are generous. Service is quick but they don’t rush you. I believe it is family operated. The server was attentive ( I don’t think our coffee was less than half full at any time). I’ll keep coming back

Ok, so the food was excellent and fresh. The potatoes were not over done and crispy, but service needs to be worked on. Had to ask the manager, a different waitress and the busboy for things our waitress said she would be right back with. Service means a lot in a restaurant and I would think 2xs before I will go back. If I get a different server I might try it again. I’m torn between giving the place a 3 or a 4 because of this. Give it a try and see for yourself.
