Wonderful place to get bbq. Especially if you want to get competition style ribs. And as packed as this place is says a lot about its popularity. And if your not in the mood for bbq, there a really flavorful cheeseburger and the Catfish is darn good too.

My experience here was just okay. I ordered the rib tips, some of them seemed old and tough. The meat didn’t have much flavor, which was disappointing since smoke is literally in the name. I will say, the sides were all delicious, especially the corn nuggets. I also had the potato salad.
The prices here were great for a meal, so I would recommend giving them a try. Maybe it was just an off day for the pork when I visited.

TY’S Bar-B-Q nevers disappoints. It is a wonderful local eatery with a great food selection, generous food portions, and affordable daily specials. The staff are always friendly, and the dining area is cozy and clean. I ordered the regular. pulled pork sandwich, and my husband ordered the brisket sandwich combo. The fries in his combo were enough to share. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the mood for bbq and more.

I got their version of a Cuban. It was very good but if you’re expecting a more traditional Cuban it is not it. The side were good but not mind blowing except the corn nuggets. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely go back.

First time here 6/21/25 I’ve been in MS/TN since Oct 2024. I have tried at least 10 different bbq places. I’m from Texas and with that being said…this is the BEST bbq that I’ve had since I’ve been here hands down. These are actual rib tips not those riblet things. MAN!! The flavor and they are seasoned for the Gawds! Perfection!! I will definitely be back. The young lady at the counter was very sweet and kind. I have a new spot. Whew!!

The food is good. Burger’s patty was flavorful, the chicken and fries were okay. There is a small shelf near the entrance where you can place your plastic food basket on after you are done eating.

Got a four pack, and two sides, I wish I would have known the four pack was bbq, buns, beans, and potato salad. I should have ordered four separate sandwiches and sides. It would’ve been about the same cost as the four pack and my sandwiches would’ve had slaw on them.
Just a note got a six pack from another barbecue place and it came with 6 individually small cups of slaw for the sandwiches.
Other than that, the beans were great. The potato salad was good. Barbecue had a little fat in it, but was reasonably good for Memphis barbecue.
Next time just individual sandwiches , it’s just not barbecue unless you have a little slaw on it.

My 1st visit to Ty’s and I will be back. I went during the lunch hour on a Friday. It was at half capacity. I usually order pulled pork when getting BBQ but wanted to try the beef brisket. Wow so tender and smoky! You order at the counter and seat yourself. Our food arrived in 3 minutes. They have several flavored sauces to choose from, my fav is the Smoked sauce. Weekly specials offered Mon- Thu. Really happy i went here based on a recommendation. Nice behind counter staff taking orders!
UPDATE 5/18/25. Went back for 2nd visit. Had the Pork sandwich this time. So impressed with the smoky taste. I love this place. And got another 1lb brisket to go. It just melts in your mouth. So tender.

They have great food made with lots of love and skill.. They have the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had and their homemade honey mustard is great. I’ve heard they have amazing cakes too which I haven’t tried yet but I’m sure it’s true.
