First time dining here. Jody was our server. She was amazing.
We ordered the side salads, I had the hot bacon vinaigrette, and my partner had the Asian sesame. Both were very tasty. The firecracker shrimp were divine! And you got a lot of them too! The spinach artichoke dip with Cajun spice was also pretty tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

While inside a small strip plaza, it is larger and comfy inside than expected.
Wonderful experience on multiple occasions enough that I was motivated to write a review. Just had a great fish fry and my friend had a salad. Many things to try. Happy Hour lettuce wraps are great! Been here 4x and the service EVERY time was superb, the staff is great! Very charming place. Patio outside is nice in summer. Definitely go.

We have a sick relative we’ve been taking care of and occasionally will order take out to take a break from cooking for the family. Sadly AJs while very close has consistently disappointed. They have a serious issue with getting their cook temperatures correct and ordering a steak is a completely random shot as to what you’ll get however it does seem to be a flip of a coin it’s either rare or it’s beyond well done. There is no medium, medium well or even well done that their cooks appear capable of. This does also apply to their burgers which have never come out at the temperature ordered. This goes worse for their chicken it is consistently pink upon pickup. The more baffling issue is diced home fry style potatoes with half of them obviously rotten. Not sure how you go from prep to cook to plating without seeing that.
But what really puts the cherry on top of this experience. Upon driving home to eat and finding the steak over done the chicken raw and the potatoes rotten I decided to return the food and make it known there is an issue I politely pointed out the issue only to be told there was no manager available. They did not offer to remake the order. They took the food back to the cook and told me they would have the owner call me the next day to refund my order I left my number and weeks later have not received a call nor have the charges been refunded.
I would recommend staying away from this venue as the staff is rude the owner uncaring and the food unsafe for consumption.
As for atmosphere they attempted to go for a “urban” feel of concrete and steel which is usually nice so long as they include textiles or at least some noise cancelling foam on the ceiling maybe behind something to stop the echo of sound. Which makes it next to impossible to carry a conversation. The in person dining experiences I’ve had there some time ago provided the same experience of sending the food back. One steak over done the other raw. The order was for two cooked medium.

I have to say that I don’t mind the prices increasing but when they charge $1.50 (maybe more) for a side of honey for hot tea which is kind of ridiculous. The food is good but the waitress said honey is expensive. I can get it free everywhere else. I felt it was just taking advantage of people for a common condiment for hot tea.

Was a shorter than expected wait (<10 min) in a Friday night. Our server was nice enough, but forgot about our cheese curd appetizer (which she comped) & brought us beers & a wine, only to never return with the water we asked for. We could have had her stop by, even if it was just a passing glance.
I had the Philly Chicken wrap with onion rings. It was tasty and I would have it again. The rest in my party had the fish fry, which was a large fillet of haddock. One person had french fries and the other had mashed potatoes with it. They both enjoyed theirs & immediately dug in before I could take a picture. The curds were delivered after our entree & were overdone, but it is also a little unfair to complain about something that ended up being free. I’m pointing it out b/c so many look burst in the photo. I felt like the menu was reasonably priced.

Enjoyed this place for date night with my guy. Food was prepared well and the drinks were very good. The portions are big! Pork chops had a cranberry sauce on them ultimately making them sweet, still good buy took away from the measly flavor you would expect. Chicken dinner was delicious, just a very big serving. I would recommend checking them out.

AJ’s Urban Grill is a nicely decorated and cozy restaurant and it is a refreshing change from the chains! Great and friendly customer service. We were recommended to the restaurant by one of our customers. Upon entering the establishment, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly host who quickly seated us. Our server, Courtney was pleasant and professional. She immediately brought our beverages followed by our appetizer and then our entrees. Courtney was very friendly and she made sure that we were attended to.
For an appetizer, we had the Cajun Dry Rub Traditional Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese. For dinner, I ordered AJ’s Deluxe Burger and my wife ordered a Portabella Burger. Both meals were prepared and cooked to perfection. We also had water with no Ice and lemon.

An all time fav family spot for a great meal within a relaxing atmosphere that is cozy and nice and importantly also conducive to engaging in conversation (not overly noisy).Personal favorite here is the Pretzel Chicken with bacon risotto and broccoli. Check the pic. As far as apps- the cheese curds & pretzels are always crowd pleasers. Patty melts and salads are popular choices there with our group too. Can’t go wrong with the menu or the restaurant.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Friendly happy feal. Large selection, daily specials, good food, and generous portions. The cocktail menue has some different delicious offerings. The ‘party’ room is a little unusual. One very long skinny table. We did get excellent service for our larger group.
