Wow! The flavor and texture combinations were truly unbelievable! I started with the beets & hibiscus for the appetizer and I’ve never had anything like it! The flavors were outstanding. Then I had the “Pan Roasted Farmed Totoaba” I didn’t know what to expect, but I surely wasn’t disappointed. Then came the dessert, it was out of so well done. Again the flavor combos and textures were amazing! I’ve never experienced outdoor dining like this! If you are in the Cabo area this is an excellent option to such an amazing culinary experience

Sage’s staff were incredibly attentive and friendly from the moment we sat down. They noticed I was a bit cold and immediately brought over a blanket, and they even stabilized our table without us saying a word. Their attentiveness and care really stood out. It was also our senior dog’s birthday week, and since the restaurant is fully outdoors and pet friendly, they surprised us with a little cake and a sparkler to celebrate. Truly the sweetest team!
Now for the food. We started with the hearts of romaine which was very fresh and crisp, and the runny egg was the highlight. The shishito peppers were perfectly grilled, packed with flavour, and not spicy at all, so even those who don’t love spice can enjoy them. The fried chicken was crispy and light without being greasy, and the pappardelle meat ragu was delicious with handmade pasta and a well balanced sauce that wasn’t too tart. We also tried the nero clam pasta, which I believe is made with squid ink, and the sauce was incredibly rich, full of deep clam flavour.
I highly recommend visiting Sage if you’re in the San José area or heading out after the Thursday art walk. A lovely spot with wonderful food and even better service.

We loved the creative dishes like grilled oysters with delicious sauce, blue shrimp, fish, and pasta in the bone marrow boat. Some of the sauces were salty side so I hope they will improve that. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Wine selection was great too. The ambience was hip and cozy. It’s not overly touristic yet memorable visiting the art district of the town.
As the restaurant name says, sage and herb were beautifully integrated in dishes. Well done! We travel many countries and are picky about food. Sage Baja is definitely will be in our “go again” list.

It was our Anniversary evening and we were looking for a nice meal to celebrate. Sage Baja more than met our expectations! From the welcome by the hostess, to our server and all staff we encountered, the service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious!! The live music perfectly complimented the atmosphere of this lovely restaurant. Thank you to our server, Memo for his help in navigating the menu and his attention to all the little details that made our evening special. We will definitely make a return visit to Sage Baja!

So yummy, food was so fresh and seasonal. Flavor profiles were complex but true to the ingredients. Tomatoes were my favorite. Rolando took care of us and was fantastic. Cocktails were amazing as well. We asked the bartender to whip us up a custom cocktail and it was perfect. Come here and you won’t be sorry.

Everything was delicious!
My husband said the steak was some of the best he’s ever had – and we live in Colorado, so that’s really a statement.
The pasta was ***life changing***. I’m not really a pasta person, but I wanted to pick the bowl.
