I didn’t know what a garbage plate was until I come here, I noticed it a few weeks ago and been there 3-4 times since , one of my favorite spots to eat at , the business is family owned and operated, very friendly place. ( I get the cheese burger plate and it’s been fresh every time, if u Haven’t had a garbage plate u should try one , they’re really good , your not finding better food in the area )

I ate here and was really impressed, I ordered the senior with extra meat sauce, and an order of wings and couldn’t have been happier the only knock I’d have if I needed one is there was no celery with the wings but willing to give that up for the quality and taste of the food. 100% going back.

On a road trip and stopped in Geneva, NY and stayed at Holiday Inn Express. Came across Straight Plates and decided to try it (did not know anything about it except that if is close to hotel and wanted take out). Turned out to be very good! The “garbage plate” idea worked…I got two cheeseburgers,fries onions and beans and it is all together in container with a “layered” approach. It actually worked and was good (and prices are reasonable!). My wife chose the buffalo chicken wrap and fries and found it to be tasty. The place is somewhat “hidden” at the back side of a strip mall but could be worth a try! We would also suggest working with some of the hotels near their restaurants to see if they could leave their flyers for guests who may hope to find a reasonably priced take out.

Straight Plates in Geneva has let me down a few times. When I call, the staff aren’t very friendly and seem like they don’t want to help. The food gives me a stomach ache and doesn’t have much taste, which others have said too. Ordering through DoorDash was fine once, but the bad service and tasteless food make it hard to like this place.
