IMPRESSIVE!
We hadn’t had lunch, showed before game time 17:15, and ordered 2 appetizers (HH BOGO) 2 beers. The Wagyu Beed Sliders filled my wife on the 2nd. I got the Chicken Parmegiana Sliders which were just AMAZING.
Great environment, but some folks at the bar were using gambling machinery, and are allowed to smoke. It took me past the 1st quarter to realize this, so their ventilation is quite good.
Sorry we didn’t together the two plates together.
Nice soft bread, decent fixings, great meals.
As a result, we don’t need dinner.
And, we bolted at half time, tipping in the full amount, not the 2 for 1 deal for HH.
Friendly staff. Nicely appointed. DEEP menu we’ll have to return to sample further. I’ll bet their Tira Misu just rocks, but we needed sleep (coffee after 18:00?)
WE also though that Joe slid through, asking how we were doing.
Ample parking.
The men’s room had Lewis & Martin audio and travertine tile, if that is any indication of their dedication.
My husband and I came here with our daughter in law on Saturday evening after any dinner rush that would have been there. We were probably one of the last settings in the dining room before that closed for the evening. We showed up and unfortunately one of the two handicap spots was taken by a truck with big wheels, so we had to lug me and my wheelchair across the parking lot so the evening didn’t start out great. We came in the front door and I always bring all eyes to our little group because I am in my early 50s but I am in a wheelchair and on oxygen so it all doesn’t really fit people’s images of wheelchair users. Anyway we were seated in a nice quiet back section of the restaurant and without asking or any awkwardness the hostess pulled out a chair from the table and took it away, instantly providing a spot for me. (you would be surprised how often we have to ask/tell someone to do this because they are not used to seeing wheelchairs so they have a little gawkers block). The waitress we were lucky to have was fantastic. She was open about the food, the spice level, her favorite dishes, etc. and she was not wrong about ANYTHING! Hands down one of my top 5 dining experiences in Las Vegas in the last 10 years. The topping of the ambiance was meeting Joe. Joe is the owner and his family makes the food (at least while we were there) if he is in the restaurant I guarantee he will stop at your table to “check in” Next onto food:
THE FOOD – omg the Food!!! Joe’s family is Italian through and through. His recipes are all from the family, his sauce is the amazing heart melting best sauces we have EVER had hands down. That applied to the olive oil based spicy garlic sauce of Uncle John’s Aglio e Olio (and boy did it have spice); the sauce in the Chicken Parmesan that we loved so much we ordered a second helping for our daughter for after work, and finally the incredible, ever so slightly spicy sauce and sausage in The Italian Pizza I ordered. I will often pick a restaurant to try because of the desert menu and I knew coming into the restaurant that I would be ordering a slice of triple tuxedo mouse cake for myself to have at home as a late night snack. We also splurged on a Brownie Sundae a la mode at the restaurant and we wanted to try a piece of the Cheesecake which unfortunately was already sold out by the time we arrived. You see we found out the cheesecake is made daily by a relative of Joe’s and almost always run out of stock early in the evening so eat early if you want to get to try it at all, we will attempt again very soon.
Entree prices range with breakfast and lunch running 15-30 and served 24 hours a day and dinner a little higher in the 18-46 range but so very worth every penny. Hands down this New York Style family eatery has the best Italian American menu in Las Vegas on or off strip.
The sausage was so dry like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day waiting for me to arrive. My asparagus was cold, (server offered to replace it, I said no thank you.) The chicken and shrimp were both bland and lacked any real flavor. The sweet potato fries were the highlight of the dish.
My wife said her pasta dish, I forget which one, was very good. We will probably go back to try the pizza as it looked good.
Service was good and Joe comes around and talks to all of the patrons; very nice person.
You have just stumbled upon your new favorite spot!!!
(THEY JUST ADDED UBER EATS!!!)
$$DOOR DASH AND GRUB HUB NOW AVAILABLE TOO!!!!
My bestie and her Hubby, absolutely LOVE Joe’s!!!
We had the Mozzarella Caprese.
It’s absolutely to die for.
You have NEVER experienced a treat like this.
Then, my friend highly recommended the Eggplant Parmigiano.
I’m a Vegetablarian my entire life and sometimes restaurant miss the boat.
NOPE!!!
They cut the eggplant thin, deep fry, but THEN, they bake it with some yummy, tasty ricotta and a delicious marinara and top with mozzarella and perfectly bake.
You get an ample side of pasta AND a treat of the chef’s garlic toast.
Oh wait…the dinner salad.
It actually has many types of lettuce and Scallions, sliced cherry tomatoes, cukes, carrots and a smidge of celery.
The presentation from ” Chef Ben,” is the best.
You can tell he wants every plate to look fabulous.
The PRICES are amazing!!
Soooo reasonable.
Tammy is lovely as your Server.
Joe is the Owner, he is the Host and he goes around and gives ” LOVE ” to everyone.
