All I wanted to do was sit at the bar. This place has a funky layout and isn’t good to sit at. The place is cut into a large banquet hall. There were no TVs or amenities on the banquet side. We had to sit in a small area next to the bar by the front door.
The food here is pretty good, my sandwich was crispy and delicious. I got three quarters of the way through & looked in the kitchen and saw the waitress was handling food without any gloves. I lost my appetite. They also used the same oil to fry fish and french fries, which makes the fries taste fishy.
As we left, the entire staff went outside for a smoke break, all together, visible from the front parking lot. IDK if they washed thier hands but with the waitress handling food like that I was not impressed.

Arrived just before evening rush, served quickly, and food was delicious and plentiful. I had the Perch Platter. Waitress was phenomenal. My drink never emptied. Get the desert!

The name is deceiving, it’s just a country kitchen style restaurant and it’s all open seating. No gardens or plants in sight. Menu was okay and offered gluten free pizza which was surprising. Service was good but didn’t like the old style atmosphere. Mostly for locals and hunters.

What a great experience we had at this restaurant tavern. I watch the waitress work every table in this bar restaurant and she was amazing. I’m on a diet and she brought me out exactly what I ordered and it was delicious. Thank you for some great meatloaf. Grandson had a pizza and he loved it. And the burger that my daughter got was cooked exactly as she ordered it and it tasted fantastic. People you’ve got to go and find this little place out in the middle of rural America.
