All the other big John’s have angry and surely staff for some reason. This one always is staffed with happy welcoming folks and some of the most beautiful and delicious sandwiches. The cheesesteak they served me was prettier than the advertisement. Even better everyone working there was pleasant and enjoyable. In 2025 having fast service, excellent made to order food, outstanding staff, and decent prices is near unheard of. This location in particular hits all of the above and more consistently may years in a row.

Big johns has been apart of the area for longer then many of us know. I was excited the 1st time I had a sub from the grand blanc location, today I went back…differences like night and day.
1st time they was newer at being open, fresh bread, cooked the bread on the grill, meat everything was amazing….today, super steak mushroom &cheese with extra cheese….the sandwich was done before I had even realized it never touched the grill. The meat was over salty. Couldn’t even tell if I had extra cheese, but it was called back like that,so I will assume they didn’t steal from me, but just gave me a lousy experience.

As a Gen X, I use to come to Big John’s with my dad as a kid. As a kid, this was such a treat when my dad would ask do I want to go to Big John’s would bring such excitement. Because it was such a test getting subs from here, they were always so delicious. I moved to the Metro Detroit area in the ’90s. Unfortunately, no big johns in the metro Detroit area. Such a shame.
I found myself driving up to Burton today and decided I have to work in Big John’s. I have to admit the last time I came to big Johns was before my dad passed away in 1997. I was a little worried that I was going to be disappointed because of a memory that was decades old.
I walk in, and I wish I would have got the person who rang me up. She was pretty awesome. I told her the last time I was here was in the ’90s, and without missing a beat, she said, well, you are in for a real treat. And boy, she was right. My steak and cheese were awesome..

Excellent cheese steak. I wish they had some locations in Detroit, but I’d gladly drive an hour north for a Big John’s cheese steak again. I’d been wanting to try one for years, and finally made it.

I went into the Grand Blanc store and noticed a sign you could have a wrap, so instead of getting the bread for my sub I requested the super steak and cheese in a wrap with no onions and add green peppers.ordered a combo so while they were making the wrap I got my drinks . Got it home and this was 16.00 worth of food ! So disappointed this is not a SUPER STEAK AND CHEESE … and since when do they use cheddar instead of provolone ? I know they use cheddar on the bbq sub but not the super steak and cheese I took a picture of the wrap I’m so disappointed this is pictured next to a stick of butter I had at home and cut in half

Ordered a Bbq steak and cheese and they RUINED my sub. I come from Detroit and this location needs to have standards and follow the flint locations. They put lettuce and tomato in it and then SOAKED it with Italian dressing. So pissed off. Told my husband NOT to ever return to this location bc now I am stuck with a soggy nasty mess. The other locations the sub is strictly just bbq steak, onion and cheese and here they ruined it by slathering it with dressing, nasty old brown lettuce and soggy tomato’s which I already picked off before taking this picture. You need to do better and have a higher standard than this. Thanks for ruining my dinner and night. And it’s not like I live 10 mins down the street to get this fixed.

I will never go back to this location ever again! I’m in disbelief to say the least. Around 8:30 we visited this Grand Blanc location and ordered 2 Steak & onion subs combos First off they were the smallest subs I ever seen from a Big John’s! And the steak was so overcooked. It was the worst Big John’s I had in a long time. Then to top it off as we’re finishing eating almost done and one of the workers tell us “Just so you know we close at 9:00 you have 3 minutes left to finish eating!’ It was the rudest thing ever!! They were still cleaning up and were definitely going to be done by time for them to lock the doors. We were almost done. There was no need to say anything. I was very offended and asked the managers name I thought it was the girl that said that to us but it wasn’t. We told her how rude that was. She did ask us what she could do to make it right! We told her it was already done and there’s nothing she can do. We just told her that they shouldn’t treat their customers like that. Then she asks us well how would you like us to tell people we’re closing, first of all if your the manager your the one that should tell people when your about to be closing and in a more polite way. Or tell the customers when they order hey just so you know we do close at 9:00. They all just laughed and thought their rudeness was funny. It’s all funny till your out of a job because of running all your customers off!! I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Not only is the food always delicious but hands down you have the best employees in the area. Id give 10 stars for service if I could. In the last week I’ve been to two other similar food establishments in Grand Blanc and waited 10 minutes before even being acknowledged and the staff couldn’t have been more rude so I decided to walk out. Walked into Big Johns got greeted with a smile, had a lovely chat and it literally made my night. That’s twice this month I’ve been impressed with the staff service.
