I enjoyed the lively atmosphere at Las Palmas! Great hospitality from the staff and manager, very attentive service. The Texas House Margarita was , I got the medium and was surprised by the size lol…I can only imagine the large is a challenge The Mahi taco was nice, could use a double tortilla, really juicy. Enjoy the La Placeida tacos with pinto beans, rice, and avocado salad. Would definitely consider this place as a go-to spot.

Still was celebrating my birthday and happened to stop here for a quick bite and a good margarita that I had been lacking for my whole birthday weekend. Well my margarita I had put me in such a great mood!! I had the medium size, strawberry flavored, and it definitely hit the spot. I had the Palmas Ranchero I believe it was and it had my eyes pop out of my head by how much food it was!! Everything was flavorful and even though the pork chop was a little overcooked( actually it was ham ), it still had great flavor. I usually go to the location on First Colonial being that the location to me is a lot better, I would come here again!

Just had dinner here tonight. This is an accessible restaurant, and they were very accommodating! The service was great. The portions were very generous. We had the Tacos Jalisco and Steak Fajitas. Both were very good, well seasoned. The tacos came with a mole sauce on the side, and I might add that these were among the best seasoned fajitas I’ve ever had. I noticed the menu had a fair amount of vegetarian options, which is good (our DIL is a vegetarian). Since we come here annually we will definitely eat here again!

Had a great time at Las Palmas, the drinks were amazing and food was good. My only regret was ordering the seafood platter. The plate was very flavorful but I could tell the crab legs were recooked since they were very dry on the inside. Overall a good time.

I have never been more pleased with a restaurant. We fortunately chose this spot because it was close to where we parked. Everything from the hosts to servers and managers were pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The food here is top notch and every dish was a hit. The drinks we ordered were huge and mixed perfectly. Everything exceeded our expectations and we had the best time we have ever had at a restaurant.

Brian was our server. He and the rest of the staff were attentive, accommodating, neat in appearance, and professional. It’s a shame I don’t live closer. Thanks again!

This establishment provides superior customer service, with staff demonstrating attentiveness and a willingness to accommodate guest requests. We sampled the Arroz con Pollo and Broccoli, and the Northern Steak. The rice and chicken dish was exceptional. Although the steak initially lacked flavor, the addition of pico de gallo and avocado considerably improved its taste profile, resulting in a well-balanced culinary experience. My horchata, a personal favorite at Mexican restaurants, exhibited a distinctive flavor profile reminiscent of the Puerto Rican variation, which traditionally incorporates sesame seeds rather than rice. Nevertheless, it was outstanding.

During my recent visit, the highlight of our meal was definitely the tacos, which were exceptional. While the other dishes we tried were average, the experience was still enjoyable overall. Their cocktails were fantastic, especially a pineapple-flavored drink that the staff recommended—I’ve included a photo because it was simply delightful!

We were also treated to a basket of delicious chips and salsa while we waited for our food, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was lively, with multiple screens showcasing sports, and a massive screen that really enhanced the excitement of the games.

I would definitely return for the tacos and that refreshing pineapple drink! However, I want to note that during the slow season, they close at 10 PM. I visited at the end of November and found that they closed at 10 PM on both occasions, which was confusing since their door and Google listed a closing time of 11 PM. When I inquired, I learned that the earlier closing time is applicable during the off-peak season. Overall, a good experience with a few minor hiccups!

My husband and I spent the weekend in Virginia Beach from my birthday in January. Our hotel was right across the street from Las Plamas, so we walked there for dinner and drinks. I was shocked initially to see the cost of their alcoholic beverages, however when we got them I felt it was justifiable. The drinks will definitely get you tipsy quick. The food was delicious and our server was fantastic! Would definitely dine hear again of I am in the area!

The service was great – almost too attentive. We weren’t ready to order our food but three different people came over within seven minutes before we decided to just go ahead and order. The (cadillac) margarita I ordered wasn’t strong at all. The food was delicious. I ordered the Parillada Mexicana Fajitas and my friend ordered the Texas Fajitas. The most peculiar plating was the shrimp as they are served on a kabob sticking straight up. I personally could have done without the presentation as it was difficult to remove the shrimp from the sticks. This is the first place that I’ve been to that serves queso AND salsa with chips upon seating. The queso was good; it had a slightly sweet aftertaste. I asked for extra sour cream and guac – it was not provided. Since it wasn’t on the bill, I did not press the issue. The jalapeños were NOT pickled even though that’s what we ordered. As a result our dishes were extremely spicy from the fresh jalapeños. Our mouths were on fire There was music playing and it wasn’t too crowded. We were seated immediately (party of two) on a Friday after labor day. I would definitely go back.
