It was Monday, lunchtime. They were out of all vegies except some lettuce and spinach. Bread was old. The cookie display only had a few broken pieces of cookie and was dirty. The only thing the employees said was, “Must have been a busy weekend.” $8 for a lousy 6 inch pictured below. NOT going back!!!

Young girl with blue hair and a nose ring refused to even acknowledge us when we walked in. I said “hello” and she simply glared at me and did not answer. I said “are you ready for our order” and she said “yeah” with a sarcastic tone and I walked out. Terrible customer service.

This is honestly the worst Subway. They cancelled my entire order because they didn’t want to fix the steak, and someone hollering from the back “we don’t have any steak and I’m not waiting on it to cook” Completely blew us off and went and started helping other people. If I could completely give it 0 stars I would. It needs better management and better employees.

I don’t know how many of the reviews for the Roan Mtn location are done by employees, or friends of employees, but most of them with 4-5 stars are inaccurate! This is the worst dang subway I have ever went to! Always out of something and all the employees but 1 are always rude! I don’t know who the manager/assistant manager are, but they sure don’t do (or don’t know how to do) their job with ordering what they need and not run out all the time!! They always have an excuse as to why they don’t have this or that, or they just don’t care at all!! Guess it’s time to make a phone call to the owners and if that don’t fix it, a phone call to corporate will be in the works!!

I would like to find out how to contact the owner. Depending on who is working, depends on how my subs are made. They’re always out of something when I stop in. Either it’s Italian herbs and cheese bread, meatballs, or fresh mozzarella. The bread is hard and not edible. Last but not least, they put the least amount of toppings ,and when I ask for more, I get an attitude. I’ll continue to drive the extra few miles to the Hampton location where they know how to make a good sub and treat their customers with respect.

I placed a mobile order from the subway app and they later called and said the toaster oven was not working. That’s not the problem though because my sub was horribly put together and they added several different things that I did not want and put 2 pounds of mustard on it, ruining the sandwich. This place always has something broken or missing and is very poorly managed with kids who don’t know how to make food. This is possibly the worst subway in east Tennessee. This place always has issues and problems. Just avoid it all together, they’re are plenty of great restaurants in Roan Mtn.

have call twice on different days to request a sandwich tray. One time person answering phone said she did not have time to make one, no matter what time I needed, she was supposedly by herself, this time I called for a tray and her reply was, didn’t have enough bread or meats. Said truck doesn’t arrive until tomorrow so can’t make. then on both occasions called the Subway in Newland NC and got a cheerful lady answering phone and was happy to take my order. Roan Mtn needs to hire folks that are willing to work with the public.

The staff were wonderful!! The steaks we had were absolutely butter knife tender and served exactly the way we wanted. The atmosphere was great and we will go there again, without a doubt.
