We loved our visit to Ghandi! The staff were lovely and attentive but not hovering over you. We went for our wedding anniversary on our trip to Iceland which was a Thursday night so the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The food was just lovely, portions were good and the food hot and delicious! We will definitely visit again when we’re back in Iceland!

A very average restaurant—we went in with high expectations because of the ratings.
The food portions were quite small and the prices were extremely high.
Overall, not worth it at all.

Lovely welcoming staff and venue. Managed to seat us in a busy restaurant, and even moved us to a better table when one become available. Tasty food and good portions.

Yummy, authentic Indian food. But when we went there a few days later, they said they closed the kitchen at 9.50pm even though the actual closing time is 11pm. So we had to roam around again to find good vegetarian food late night.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the delightful Indian cuisine here! It truly felt like a home away from home. Jeevika and Arun were incredibly hospitable and helpful. The atmosphere is both comfortable and cozy, making it a fantastic spot for great food! ✨

Would recommend! Good & tasty food, tried 2 indian restaurants in the area, this one is by far better!
We ordered one starter and one main. The main dish comes with rice. It is expensive, but that is true for everything in the area. We did not order drinks and our bill was around £50.

Very enjoyable meal. Friendly service on arrival even though we hadn’t booked. Quaint intimate atmosphere. Food was spiced to perfection. Very nice fish and chicken curries with rice included. Lovely soft naan. Would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic meal at Gandhi in Reykjavik – easily the best meal I’ve had in the city so far. We started with fresh, crispy poppadoms and the BHATTI KA MURGH, which was packed with flavour and perfectly cooked.
For mains, we ordered the DURBARI GOSHT and the DABAWALI MURGH, and both dishes were outstanding. The lamb and chicken were incredibly tender and rich with spices, hitting all the right notes. Unfortunately, I didn’t have room left to try a naan, though they looked amazing – something to look forward to next time!
We paired the meal with a lovely Malbec, which complemented the flavours beautifully. The service was spot on, with knowledgeable staff who made the experience
Gandhi is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Indian food in Reykjavik. 10/10 – highly recommended!
