We were traveling and wanted ramen. This place seems to have that and more. And few places that opens in Christmas day.

We were greeted immediately upon entry. The place looks and feels inviting. Our drinks order were quickly taken while we looked over the menu that covers Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese cuisine. I normally shy away from places that tries to do too much but my skepticism was quickly addressed with the dishes we ordered.

We went with Shoyu ramen with char siu pork, bibimbap, kalbi and the fish sauce chicken wings. Wings were full of flavors and still crispy on the outsidelike it supposed to be. The kalbi was well marinate, tender and sweet. Perfectly paired with the house-made kitchen, cucumber salad and pickled daikon. The bibimbap was also well done with all the flavors.

We learned from our delighyful server Melanie that her mom Tammy the owner and chef have another poke restaurant nearby realized Vietnamese and Korean food were lacking in the area. So she took a chance and open up this establishment less than a year ago.

This family run restaurant oozes the passion and love for the food, and thr service level shows it as well.

We hope they will have a continuous success for years to come.

I am a very picky and opinionated Asian woman. I live in Santee and I am amazed at all the local Asian food offerings. My husband and I have tried every pho/Vietnamese restaurant in the area and Broth and Beyond is our FAVORITE veggie pho.

I confirmed with the owner, Tammy, everything is vegan. The broth is always super umami-yummy and comes with a ton of seasonal vegetables. Very reasonably priced and filling. My husband loves the veggie shoyu ramen! Even if a vegetable option isn’t offered on the menu for a particular dish, Tammy will try to make it happen, just ask! The service is always excellent with a simple and clean dining room.

The mango matcha oat milk drink is delicious: quality matcha and fresh mango. Let the staff know if you prefer it “less sweet.”

Please come support our local business, we need to show our love so that Broth & Beyond becomes a mainstay.

My wife and I come here consistently! Amazing vegetarian options! Most dishes can be modified to be veggie and still delicious. The Shoyu ramen hits the spot with taste, cost, value and portion size.
Santee locals, highly recommend.

My husband and I are here once a week since they have opened. Im completely hooked on their ramen bowls. They are so excellent in flavor and the pork belly is excellent as well. The building is bright, clean and cheerful. Music plays and the tv is on for extra entertainment.
This is the Soy Sauce Broth Bowl with ground pork.
They have a lot more flavors and choices to choose from.

We visited for the first time. Excited to see there were some Halloween decorations for spooky season, we were greeted quickly. Service was nice and speedy. We are happy with the taste of the broth and our meals

Imagine having two bowls of scalding hot pho and ramen held directly over your head, THAT was my 2 year old child’s experience at this place. I did my best to cover my child as I held back extreme, loss of words, rage until they realized what they had done. This is egregious! No apology or expressions of “love” could EVER make up for their horrendous neglect for basic food service safety. I would encourage ANYONE thinking of eating at this establishment to reconsider.

How was the food? Absolutely disgusting! We had Pho and Ramen and I couldn’t taste anything over the over salted “water”, I wouldn’t dare call it broth.

Customer service: Other than what was already mentioned, it was the worst experience. There were four tops being serviced, yet they were in such a rush. I don’t think we had finished our drink order before they started to walk away. When they came to check on us after everything was delivered to the table, I made by extreme displeasure known. We received empty apologies, no effort to “make it right” after eating less than half because I couldn’t stomach it anymore. We decided to leave, so they brought the bill. I guess when you express you will NEVER come back to their establishment, there isn’t much incentive to “make it right”. We begrudgingly paid nearly $40 PLUS their 3% service fee for credit card transactions.

As I told the staff, and who we believe to be the owner, we will never come back to this place and I would encourage others to do the same. The day can’t come soon enough where their business fails and they are forced to shutter their doors. If they read this and think this is a harsh review or over reaction to bad service, may I remind them, THEY through their neglectful and unprofessional service, placed our child in a situation that could have been life endangering and altering.

( To be clear, placing our child in a situation that there was a possibility of having scalding liquid dropped on the top of her head. There is no apology or making it right that would EVER be sufficient!)

The name is nice so I fell for it. The menu should be a dead giveaway. It has ramen to pho to Korean BBQ. It’s too diverse. I had the Korean spicy pork belly. $22 worth of meat without much taste. It wasn’t spicy either. So I hope they can cook up some good broth but I don’t think I’ll give another go.

Ramen Broth was really hot! the way I like it. A lot of places don’t give it boiling hot so it gets cold fast. Also the garlic was really good in the ramen. The dumplings were delicious! I I recommend this place to anyone in East County!

Super good ramen! The flavor is what keeps me coming back. The broth is rich, deeply savory, and perfectly balanced. It has that comforting, warmth that hits you on the first sip.

The noodles are always spot-on with the right chew, and the toppings actually add to the bowl instead of just sitting there. Everything feels intentional, from the seasoning to the texture to how the flavors come together.

Whenever I’m craving real, satisfying ramen, this is the place I think of first. If you love bold, comforting, well-made bowls, you’ll be obsessed too.
