Thai Village Cuisine: Delightful Thai Dishes in Tulsa
Reviews
The staffs were very friendly and the were also fast with their orders.
We had tom yum, jungle curry, and panang curry. They were all delicious. We had all mild and were perfect for us.
Highly recommend for a good Thai cuisine.
Service was impressively fast too — our food came out in no time. The restaurant itself wasn’t very busy when we went, but we noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, which probably says a lot about how popular the food is with locals.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for Thai food in the area. Great service, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely come back!
I hadn’t been here in years. It hasn’t changed. Service is fast, good is great prices are very reasonable.
Definately a good low key choice in SW Tulsa.
***Note; Heat levels are not Americanized. Range is from 1-5. A level 3 will be hot!
What stood out about the Tom Yum was the spices. I am sure there were some traditional herbs and spices that I have never had before. It was a very flavorful soup loaded with beef.
Enjoyable! The Satay was a generous serving of skewered, curry flavored chicken and a delicious peanut-based dipping sauce. Excellent! And finally, the Green Curry. Wow! My wife said she could drink a glass of the broth with a straw! Extraordinary!
I’m thinking that the lady working the floor was an owner. She was handling the dining area by herself! She was a no fun, get’r done worker. You can’t hire someone like that these days with that work ethic. No lost movement in her effort and no time wasted. I could see how her fast, sufficient, effective service could be misconstrued as less than amiable. Maybe a little terse. Possibly, that accounts for some reviewer’s reference to service. Ignore it, the service is good!
The menu is extensive. Great lunch options. Some of the best Thai food we have had in Tulsa!
Recommended!
Plates didn’t come out the same time and was served at different times during our meal. Our last dish was forgotten about and arrived as we were finishing up. We sat next to the bathrooms which didn’t have a cover to prevent the scent from destroying our appetite. I would suggest some sort of cover in that hallway. Also did not get a bag for take out, only boxes. The food overall was plain, missing a lot of ingredients and spices and made too simple. It did come out quick for a dine-in restaurant, but I would rather wait another 20 minutes for a good meal cooked right. Pricing does not reflect the food quality, but still better than fast food.
Wish Google would give me an option to rate individual parts like taste, pricing, service, etc. 2/5 is a personal rating and does not reflect the overall quality of the restaurant.
The Thai food is great. Surprisingly, this is the best place in town to get Chinese-American style staples like orange chicken, sesame chicken and REAL egg fried rice – not rice steamed together with chicken powder and frozen mixed vegetables like many places do around here.
Would advise to ask for mild or no spice if you are in any way sensitive to spice. I usually order hot at most Asian restaurants and the medium spice here is often way too hot for me.
