Reviews
What really sets Mitch’s apart is the balance between fine-dining quality and that casual, local, almost “secret spot” energy. It’s the kind of place where you can land at HNL, swing by for sashimi that tastes like it just left the ocean, and feel like a regular by the end of the meal. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable; the team is happy to guide you toward the day’s best cuts or omakase-style selections, and you can taste the pride they take in what they serve. If you’re a sushi-obsessed traveler or a local looking for that “destination” meal without going into Waikīkī, Mitch’s Sushi near the Honolulu airport deserves a permanent spot on your must‑eat list. Five stars, without hesitation.
Only drawback was the miso soup was not served hot. We got there at 4pm so we had the best service since we were the only table.
The Salmon Kama and salmon belly was really good. The best is our sushi platters. Thank you Mitch’s for an awesome food!
The fish comes from Japan & you can tell the difference. A very local place with accommodating service.
The place has a fishmonger feel with a relaxed Japanese pub style.
Food servings are ample and the variety offered shows that the ingredients are fresh.
Service is standard and friendly
Ideal for all types of diners but more for small groups
