Service was normal, atmosphere good. No wait.
Salsa was good. I was excited as the intro salsa is usually a good precursor to the meal. But the meals for our group of 4 were all bland as well as the guac. Generic ingredients with lack of prep and seasoning. In short a mediocre restaurant capitalizing on tourism. They’ll make money either way. Id rather eat taco bell which i haven’t touched since college.

Food was excellent! We were craving Mexican food. This friendly mom and pop were super friendly and served up well executed Mexican food. We’re from the Bay Area. So we know what’s up. Our ground beef taquitos and crispy taco were super crispy as advertised. Our boys loved their carnitas and carne asada tacos. Tamales were very meaty and flavorful with the red sauce. We would definitely come back to this cute Mexican restaurant.
For all those who complained about their service… well it was a full house on the Sunday night we went in December. So they may not be super attentive or fast, but they are friendly and happy to serve up good food to hungry customers.

The food was fine. Nothing to write home about but overall we were hungry and it did the job. The restaurant is well placed for those wanting to be near the lake and parking.
It was completely empty so the food arrived quickly enough but overall it was just, good enough. I wouldn’t make a trip specifically to eat here.

The place comes with chips and salsa. I ordered the enchiladas Puerto Vallarta, and was impressed by how delish it was. The kiddo enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and tacos. Highly recommend for those who are looking for a break from American diners in the area.

Some Lake Tahoe locals recommend this place to us. And we are so glad we went! Awesome place! The food was delicious and authentic, great pricing for being in a tourist town! Good size portions and it didn’t take to long to get our food!
They have indoor and out door seating! Kid and pet friendly, a full bar! I had a veggie chimechunga! It was stuffed with veggies and covered in a red sauce! SO SO good! The salsa was great! Nice bite! If you don’t like spicy maybe skip, or ask if they have a mild version.
Parking was a challenge, the place was packed, line out the door, but they moved it through quickly. They are only open til 8p so dine early.
