I was not expecting to get good oxtail in this part of the country but let me tell you this place delivers ! I’ve had Caribbean food all over the country but they really did it right at this location. Everything was perfectly seasoned and it wasn’t overly salty which is hard to find. The oxtail had so much flavor that I wanted to eat the styrofoam container that it came in. If you haven’t had this place before I highly recommend you try it and get the same combination I did with the oxtail and the rice and beans with the little cabbage salad. If you’re coming from Florida or any other place where Caribbean food is common fair you will definitely be surprised at how good this is being so far away. Highly recommend

This has been my go-to Jamaican spot since I moved to Gastonia in 2018. The price for Oxtails has constantly increased. I get it. But I have to find another place. This is the second time I’ve paid over $30 for gravy, rice, and a few pieces of meat. This is ridiculous.

Best oxtail platter hands down! I drive 40 minutes just to eat here. Big Portions! One order is usually good for 2. But I always order more for leftovers since I come from a far place

Walked in to a potential custoner upset with the man behind the counter…shouldve headed the warning. Over half of the menu was unavailable. Fish ‘cooked to order’ could not be grilled even though that option was on the menu. Curry goat tasted good, but 1/3 of the ‘meat’ was bone. Jerk Kingfish was OK, but one of the pieces appeared to not be cooked through. Flavors were great, just disappointed considering the 4.3 start rating at the time and the price of the dishes.

This was my go to spot when I was in the area for work. Probably went there at least 4 times a week especially for the soups (cow foot, goat and red peas, etc). The food is like straight out of the island and like your grandma cooked it herself. One of the best Caribbean spots I have eaten at.

They give you plenty of food. Definitely worth the price. Best rice & peas, could eat it by itself all day. Sweet plantains and stemmed cabbage is great. Oxtail, goat, king fish are all great. Jerk chicken won’t too bad (not so big on chicken).

Staff is great. Shout out to Shanese and the fellas.

2 negatives:
1. No jerk pork
2. YouTube videos/music videos may not always be age appropriate so be mindful of that since it’s reggae, soca and afrobeats.

Next time in the area, will always be back. Favorite island spot.

Our group of three enjoyed our food. The food and service are both top-notch. We had the curry chicken, stew beef, and peppersteak combinations. Combinations come with a choice of rice (yellow, white, or rice and peas), cabbage, and plantains. The food was fresh, seasoned well, and very good overall. We drove a good distance to try the food, so we ate in the restaurant. The restaurant itself isn’t designed to seat many people. I think I counted five tables. All food is served in to-go containers even if you are dining in. If you plan for takeout, this place is for you. We would return for takeout in the future.

Excellent customer service by Mrs. Shane and the chef. The quality of food is truly remarkable. The goat soup was so gently spicy & warm, tasty, and comforting. Plus, the red snapper fish with cabbage, yellow rice & plantain was delicious. Thank you so much for your hospitality with homemade food. Continue to present your best, high-quality, and tasty cuisine of Caribbean culture, along with good vibes. Thank you again.

One of the best restaurants for Jamaican. Flavor is consistent and portions are perfect! Easy go to for a lunch plate at $10 and I always have leftovers.

Amazing food, customer service and vibes. I moved to the area 4 months ago and I’ve returned here the most since discovering it. Lunch specials are a great value. Jerk Chicken and Beef Patties are delicious. Stop by and check them out!!
