A hidden jewel on the Bolivar Peninsula, this restaurant serves great food with a Mexican flair while also accommodating those who don’t embrace the spices of life with more traditional fare like pancakes and toast all the way from France. I highly encourage and recommend that you include G’s Molcajete on your list of places to visit if you find yourself on Crystal Beach. You won’t be disappointed.

This placed did an absolutely great job. We went to have brunch. The price was very affordable, very big portions. And our waiter was really amazing. We had our child under one with us. Also, my brother in law that has cerebral Pasi. They treated him like A regular human being instead of overseeing him, which really meant a lot. Sometimes it’s that can be very difficult.

I’m always at a dilemma when scoring enjoyable diners. The surroundings are humble, not comparable to a 5 star restaurant. G’s is a local hangout. The kind you seek out for great food and reasonable prices while on the road. Service is great, but sometimes a bit slow in the kitchen. Chips and salsa keeps coming and the iced tea glass remains topped off. I can’t say bad things about it. I had become a new fave.

My friends and I were treated badly by the server the moment we walked in.
We were treated like outcast but watched her treat other people with total respect.
We all own property in the area and were looking for a new place to eat.
The food was good but the service ruined it for us.
Would go back if we knew the server was in a better mood and felt like we were a customer and not a problem.

Stopped for breakfast after getting of a cruise ship. Great decision! Excellent barbacoa and beef fajita breakfast tacos. Travel companion had scrambled eggs with chicken fried steak and hash browns. She cleaned her plate and she never does that. She said she couldn’t stop eating because it just tasted so good.
All the staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant appeared very clean.
Can’t wait to return again on my next trip to Crystal Beach.

I eat here every time I come to the peninsula and it’s always been great. This weekend I was excited to bring 2 friends after a 12 hour stay on the beach.
It was a VERY disappointing visit to the restaurant this time!
We arrived at 9:55am on Saturday morning. We were told to pick our seat and our drink order was taken right away. Our food order was placed at 10:01. It was 10:30 when we got a basket of chips and some salsa. At 10:42, after watching several other tables be seated and served, another customer came over to us and asked why they had come, eaten and were now leaving, and we still hadn’t gotten food yet. Within a minute of that, one of the other servers came over to us and said “y’all still haven’t got your food?” We sat there until 11:05 when I went up to the bar where our server and 2 others were standing and asked if our order ever actually made it to the kitchen. I was told “yes, I’ll go check on it”. It was another 8 minutes after that when we actually got our food. Of the 3 meals, one was not the right order. It was at that point we were also told that they were out of the menudo we ordered.
I would also like to mention that the whole time we were there, the busser was cleaning tables, but everything he removed from the dirty tables, was just moved to another table, next to us and another couple seated to eat. It was less than appetizing… Did y’all not have a garbage bin and sink for the trash and dishes?

What upset us the most was not the wait, the pile of nasty dishes right next to us, or watching several groups come, eat and leave, while we sat waiting… It was the way the manager lady tried to handle the situation. She acted like nothing wrong had happened. She also never apologized for the ridiculous wait. Our server was even embarrassed about the way she tried to handle it.
It was a VERY disappointing visit and a very BAD first impression on the 2 friends I brought to experience what is normally a great meal! Get it together, y’all.
I’ll give it another chance on my next visit to Bolivar. Please, do better.

On 10/11 I ate lunch and the bill was $21.65, I left a tip for $3.35 which was clearly written on the merchant copy. I even underlined the amount as I always do. My bank statement showed they changed the tip amount to $5.00. Hopefully, it was a honest mistake. Just a F.Y.I.
