IMPECCABLE. Staff is super fun and make the experience even better. This was our first time here and it blew us away. The donuts are delicious – especially the 50 layer vanilla bean glazed. The brisket breakfast sandwich was also fantastic. The vibe of this place is perfect and I am so happy we finally made it out there.

I stopped in for the 1/2 lb sliced beef and it was outstanding. Incredibly soft, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell they put real care into how they smoke and carve the meat. The sauces are great too, the espresso one is a must.
The atmosphere feels almost too good for a stall in this kind of market. It’s packed, loud, and finding a table can be a challenge, but that energy adds its own charm. You either see it as a trade-off or part of the experience. For me, it worked. Great food, great vibe …will definitely be back.

I had the donut the 50 layer donut! It was delicious! So many layers inside somewhat like a dense croissant! Alissa and Emily working there were so nice! And there was a huge selection! I also love it was within a market hall where I could spend time walking around looking at shops!

It has been a long time since I have had what I consider to be a perfect meal. Thoughtful and skillfully executed. I can’t wait to come back to try more! The staff was also very friendly

I got the brisket breakfast sandwich. The bread was a perfect vessel for this balanced egg, cheddar, and brisket sandwich. The brisket was well rendered, juicy, and with a fantastic bark. Outside of Texas it’s very hard to find bbq where you can actually taste the smoke and you will certainly appreciate the subtle but present oaky flavor. You could taste the tender care and appreciation for craft bbq they put into their meats. The unique fig and espresso bbq sauce added the perfect hit of acid to cut through the rich sandwich. I will be thinking about this sandwich for a while.

The 50 layer donuts are to die for. The menu changes so check instagram prior to going. I think about the strawberry rhubarb 50 layer donut often.

Amazing chopped beef sandwich on a brioche bun. Topped with kraut, pickles, red onion. And the banana pudding was perfect.

I had a craving for an apple fritter so I headed to Haute Donuts. Unfortunately they didn’t have them so I got a vanilla bean glazed donut and on a whim I ordered the 50 Layer Caramel Apple. The glazed donut was really good, very solid and very large. Much larger than your normal donut.
As for the 50 Layer Caramel Apple…my goodness! I was not prepared for how good this was. I have never been so happy that an establishment didn’t have what I originally went there to get. I don’t know if I can explain how delicious this treat was, I almost don’t want to say how good it was because I don’t need any competition when I go to buy them. Lol. It’s sooooo flaky and crispy and at the same time it’s soft where it should be soft. The texture kind of reminds me of a croissant but a thousand times better and you know how good a croissant is, so that’s saying a lot. It is covered in cinnamon sugar and topped with a frosting that is also amazing. The frosting flavor tastes like a combination or caramel and maybe cream cheese? I don’t know what it is, but it is wonderful. It was so good that I went back the next day for 4 more. The service was great as well, very friendly, Haute Donuts definitely has a new customer in me!

Don’t believe the hype. Service is great and the stand has an inviting atmosphere. The food, however, is to be desired. There is no flavor in the pickles, no flavor at all to the sandwiches and the bbq is more of a dry rub. The sides look a little sloppy and the Mac and cheese is goopy with breadcrumbs. It is not standard baked Mac n cheese custard style. It almost tastes like a mixture of boxed Mac n cheese with added shreds at best. My favorite part about the sandwich was the bun. I couldn’t taste anything else. The Haute sauce is really good, could use a little more acidity but it still has flavor. I would keep the sauces simple given the crowd. Espresso fig and chocolate chipotle aren’t going to fair better than standard Carolina sauce and original BBQ alongside their house Haute Sauce. There’s only so much you can deliver with a bbq stand inside of a Market Hall with no smoker in sight. This isn’t standard BBQ fare. The aroma should penetrate the entire Market Hall, but they are limited to why they have. Doesn’t mean you have to compensate flavor. Very disappointing waste of calories. The donuts look good though and I enjoyed the marketing/signs. I’d rather stick to Brassica, Rising Star, Banter, Beet Jar, On the Rise, and Boom’s Pizza.

The brisket is so tender and delicious. They have a chocolates chipotle sauce that just sets it off perfectly. Van Aken Market Hall is small and very busy especially on a Saturday with the farmers market so not my first choice for atmosphere. I would still return for Haute BBQ and I’d love try more on their menu.
