John was absolutely amazing. So kind and really made it a wonderful night and experience. We had someone with allergies in our party and he was so informed and on top of making sure everything he consumed was safe and wouldn’t cause any harm. He was truly so nice and made it such a wonderful visit. We live in New York but we’re already planning our next visit back here. I wanted to like this steakhouse a lot more than I did, but when I compare the cost to value, there are just better places in New Haven if you’re willing to make the drive. We came for the Valentine’s day dinner and things were expensive. The portion sizes for the apps were small, but flavorful. The steaks were great but extremely expensive, and the desserts were good also. Service was professional and relatively quick. My biggest gripe here is just the price, new haven has many steakhouses like Cast Iron which do things just a bit better, cost way less, and have many more options.

This is located in Branford, CT. I would call for reservations because this place isn’t very big inside. This is upscale restaurant the prices reflect that. The atmosphere is very beautiful. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I would definitely need to go back to this location.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience on Friday 10/31. Hubby and I dined for the 1st time here. It was recommended by a client. The owner’s owns Dave Burke Steakhouse at Foxwoods. We both ordered from the Prix- Fixe menu, which had great options, including several steak options, fish, chicken and a braised beef.
My husband chose the rosted chicken, it was good, but he’s had better. I chose the filet mignon. It was cooked and seasoned to perfectly. Sliced like butter. The portion sizes were great as well as the temperature of the food. Definitely will be returning! Service was wonderful!!

We’re back for our third visit. Each visit met with a warm reception and great service.we’ve stuck with the 3 course specials. The onion soup was spectacular tonight as was the chowder and Caesar salad w/ fresh anchovy marinated in lemon and olive oil. Filet was excellent, pork chop and prime rib, superb. Pumpkin dessert is worth a separate trip. It’s indescribable.

Went here first a birthday and we had a blast! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by two amazing guys Carol and Will. You guys were so welcoming you kicked off the night amazing keep doing what you’re doing! The atmosphere was amazing such chill vibes low lighting very calm too. The food was top tier we got the prime time special compliments to the chef your food is amazing! Beautiful restaurant makes a wonderful impression the minute you walk in the door. Had the most personable server, Caryl, who took care of all our questions & needs. Smoked old fashioned was a treat for the eyes as well as the palate. The steaks were cooked to perfection with delicious sides of garlic whipped potatoes and creamed spinach. The piece de RÉSISTANCE was the big pink fluff of cotton candy served with the bill. What a delightful end to a wonderful experience!

The food was amazing! This was my boyfriend’s and mine first time trying this place, we stopped in on a Wednesday night for a quick steak, and the prime rib did not disappoint. I’m extremely picky with steaks, and this was honestly one of the best I’ve had at a CT steakhouse. 10/10, we’ll definitely be back! And our server, Nicole, was incredible.
