I recently went to this restaurant to have brunch with my sister. The food was good and everyone was very friendly. I think our server may have been a bit nervous because she forgot a couple things. She was still friendly and polite, just seemingly still get her footing.
When we sat down, she immediately came over and asked what we’d like to drink (we hadn’t been given any menus). When we placed our order, I told her I’d like my eggs scrambled with cheese (she didn’t include the cheese). My eggs were cooked a little hard, which I don’t particularly care for, but my order was still good.
My sister enjoyed her chicken and waffles. She said the chicken had a great flavor to it and her over easy eggs were good.
Overall, the food was still good and despite a couple mishaps, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. After they’ve had time to establish a rhythm and consistency, I can definitely see this being a go-to spot.
Also, take note that it is a small establishment with a small parking lot. There are no defined lines for parking, so parking can be hit or miss.

THIS PLACE IS SUPERB! Truly a delight to enjoy a meal that tastes just like home. The cost was reasonable, and did not have any room for dessert this round. No worries, we will be back for it!

My sister had the pleasure of having The Winston Ridge (patty melt style burger) & candied yams with a side of mac & cheese.
I had the 60 West Platter (fried chicken and fish and two sides) with collards and mac & cheese.
First off – if you don’t have the mac & cheese you are MISSING OUT. This comes in a small cast iron skillet and is perfection.
Both of us had the Lulamade for our “Sips” that was wonderful.
I have only one suggestion – please consider bringing back fries as an option for the adult sides.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, great price! My boyfriend and I went in right after opening on a Saturday morning. We were happy to be able to get lunch/dinner food as well as breakfast. We started with the battered sausage balls. I ordered a burger and yams meal for my entree. He ordered a meal with chicken, fish, Mac, collards, and cornbread. We also ordered lemonade and kool-aid for drinks. EVERYTHING tasted amazing. That is truly rare especially in this area. The music was nostalgic and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be a spot we come to often.

My friend and I came by on Sunday. We ordered pancake sausage balls, the egg rolls with the Mac and cheese, yams and collard greens, we ordered chicken pot pie, a catfish platter with Mac and cheese and yams, I ordered corn bread, and for drink we had grape koolaid and sweet tea/lemonade mixed. I had absolutely no complaints. I can’t wait for them to open back up so that I can try the chicken and waffles next. I loved that we could play games while waiting for our food. My friend and I played Connect 4. There was good music in the background, the staff all had smiles on their faces, and the food was seasoned to perfection! Whenever come back to visit Lynchburg I will make sure I stop by every time to show my support.

I would give them 10 stars if that was an option! To start, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The facility was clean and well organized! Even the bathrooms were spotless! The food was impeccable, some of the best I’ve ever had! Some highlights were the juke joint egg rolls, the fried chicken, and the collard greens! I have never had cornbread like that, absolutely delicious! You MUST save room for the banana pudding! Quite possibly the best banana pudding I’ve ever had! Go to this restaurant! You will not be disappointed!

This is a great spot if you want some good ole southern comfort food! I could tell by the way the food was seasoned that someone took their time in the kitchen. The staff was so pleasant! I had an awesome first experience! Many more to come!

Absolutely delicious! Had the southern fried chicken with mac n cheese and collard greens with smoked turkey. Also had the shrimp topped deviled eggs and juke joint egg rolls, all was delicious!! Food was home cooked, staff was extremely friendly and easily accommodated for large party with seating arrangements. Highly recommend!!!

This place feels like being in somebody’s grandma’s kitchen. The staff are so warm and kind, the service is incredible, and the food is amazing. It’s very family friendly – they even have games for you to play while you wait for your food. Please note that everything is made to order from scratch – no pre-packaged garbage. They warned us it might take a little longer to get our food because of this, but I thought the wait wasn’t bad. I will DEFINITELY be back.

From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted by bright, friendly smiles that set the vibe for the whole experience. I’m consistently blown away by the Juke Joint Egg Rolls – they’re a must-try! The menu has plenty of options, making it perfect for a group with mixed palates. I recently brought my family from out of town, and they were just as impressed by the atmosphere, the food, and the hospitality as I am each time I go. You can taste the love poured into each bite of everything you eat. 10/10 would recommend!
