This place is a hidden gem! I would definitely recommend dropping in. You have to get the onion rings! They’re definitely some of the best I’ve EVER had. Our food came out suoer fast and it was all delicious! The staff is very nice. It has a small town old café feel that’s very welcoming and comfortable. If you’re looking for upscale, posh dining, this ain’t it. But if you want good home cooking comfort food, this is the spot! Did I mention the onion rings?!?!? The fried okra was absolute perfection! They weren’t busy but we went early to beat the church crowd. It seems like there are plenty of regulars. The restaurant is very, uh, not modern, but it’s exceptionally clean. Seriously, if you’re in the area, drop in. Bring your appetite and enjoy!

Small town local diner with big time chicken fried chicken and okra! Hubby enjoyed the meatloaf and we both had the okra (I asked for it burnt) and it came out perfect! Just the way we like it. Great friendly service.

Nice diner. Staff was super and the lunch menu had a lot of dishes at a reasonable price. The chicken fried steak was good. The BBQ sandwich with tater tots was good. They’ve got good ice too

A small town cafe. Nothing fancy, just decent food with good service.
Everything from burgers to typical dinner meals with choice of vegetables and a roll.
Mine was good, not excellent, but good.

The service here is excellent and the food is great. As you can see, the portions are plentiful. Everything is always cooked to order, and the menu has a lot to choose from. The ladies that work here are friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of parking, and lots of seating.

Consistency is key. The last time I posted this review was seven months ago. I’ve been back several times since then, but I thought I would add a photo and let you know that they’re still consistent.

Great food nice and cozy environment. Prices are excellent. Service was ok. Didn’t get refills in a timely manner and had half my meal without anything to drink. Did get a Togo drink after we asked. Other than that definitely coming back if we’re in town.

Exactly what I was looking for. I regularly drive between the East & West coast, and I’m always looking for nice small diners. McLoud’s Cafe was perfect. It’s tucked away in a small quaint town & has the kind of nostalgic home-cooking I crave when on the road. Everyone was incredibly nice & it seemed to be bustling with locals (which is always a good sign of a quality dining establishment!). I recommend the “Grandma’s Breakfast” special paired with a warm mug of coffee!
