never tried Uzbek food before! It was a wonderful first experience. The food is so good and taste incredibly authentic, even if I’ve never had it. I’m hoping that it is. The service was pretty slow, but my friends and I were so busy chatting and having a good time over great food that it didn’t really matter.

It’s wonderful to have a diversity of foods here in the Triangle area. We tried about 10 dishes as a family, including a variety of kebab dishes. Most were very good, and were clearly distinct from the type of food you would get at a Persian or Turkish restaurant. The rice dishes are excellent, and the steak kebab is very good as well. The chicken kebab and Lula kebab could have been more flavorful. The noodle dish is good, but came out lukewarm. The naan is excellent. The appetizers were quite good as well.
Cumin is a key flavor in many, but not all the dishes.

Friendly service and amazing food. This was the first time I ever had Uzbek cuisine and Silk Road did not disappoint! I cannot recommend this place enough and I will definitely be back.

We were a family of 5 experiencing the Uzbek Cuisine for the fist time. The overall experience we would say was Alright. Could have been better of course given the size of the restaurant. We ordered Khachapuri (was similar to cheese bread with egg on top of it) Spicy Fried Lagman Noodles tasted good. Dumpling soup was bland and Uzbek Pulao needs improvement for sure.
While the Dishes tasted moderately appeasing but the quantity of food served definitely needs improvement.
Besides that , for us it was a one time gig based on the factors above.

This was phenomenal. We started with the Khachapuri, which was perfect. That was some of the best bread I ever had in my life, and the egg complemented it so well. It was much lighter than it looks in the photos you see online.
We then each ordered the plov, considering it is the national dish of Uzbekistan. I wanted to try the spicy lagman, but that will wait until next time. The plov was outstanding. The lamb was perfect, and, again, it felt light! We were full, but it was not in a way that felt like we ate too much heavy food.
I’ll be back for the lagman next weekend. This place is awesome. Go there now.

If you haven’t tried Silk Road yet, you’re missing out. We stumbled in and had the best experience. Our server, Naile, gently steered us away from ordering a gyro and suggested we try something more authentic—and I’m so glad we listened.
The appetizer she picked was flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. Every bite felt homemade, like eating in someone’s kitchen rather than a restaurant. I’ve traveled a lot, and this place gave me that same cozy, tucked-away vibe you find in little hidden spots abroad.
Absolutely worth a visit. That’s my two cents—you’ll have to decide for yourself.

So good! Our first time here was a great experience. We ordered the family sized mixed kabobs all served from a lazy Susan which I thought was nice. Everything was delicious. It was generous amount for 4 people. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
