Hands down some of the best cuisine in Aspen. Chef Samir is an incredibly talented, the dishes were delicious, so much so that they disappeared before we could take pictures. Matt and every other waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely don’t miss Matsuhisa if you’re visiting Aspen.

We booked Matsushi for a birthday dinner and it was perfect from start to finish. We had a party of seven, and they accommodated us with ease. We were seated in the downstairs dining area, which was beautiful — the round table made it so easy for everyone to talk and enjoy each other’s company.
Even though we arrived a little late to our reservation, the staff remained incredibly kind and welcoming. The service throughout the night was excellent: attentive, helpful, and impressively fast. It made the whole evening feel smooth and enjoyable.
The food was incredible and the drinks were just as satisfying. The sushi is served family style- in one big dish. The staff was very helpful in identifying what each sushi roll was and who ordered what.
Highly recommend Matsushi for groups, celebrations, or anyone looking for great service and a lovely dining experience!

I had an amazing dining experience at Matsuhisa. The Shrimp with Spicy Garlic Sauce was a nice appetizer, the Lamb Chops had a unique barbecue sauce and were cooked to my desired temperature (well done), and all of the sushi was great. My favorite item was the Black Cod, it was sensational.
Service was top tier as expected. The ambience is typical of any fine dining establishment, but the interior design was underwhelming. An elevator and coat check are available for accessibility and convenience. Overall 9.5/10!

The service made this place. Our waiter was smart, intuitive, caring, fun, and all these things while being on top of the details. Made me wish we had a waitress like this every evening out. The food was incredible. UNI all day, every day. Absolute must in Aspen. We loved everything about it.

It was our first time trying this restaurant and it was good. We sat at the bar since we didn’t have a reservation. Our bartender was friendly and helpful. Food was good. I highly recommend making a reservation since it’s hard to get a table.

We arrived mainly for a cocktail, and I have to say the margaritas were excellent (and I’m Mexican, so I know my margaritas!). A friend ordered sushi, and it was delicious. We didn’t actually come to eat, but from what we saw and heard, everyone raves about the food here.

My husband and I had an amazing dining experience here a few nights ago. Our server Ally was simply AWESOME!! She had such a pleasant demeanor and made us feel so welcome….and she knew the menu extremely well and was able to accommodate my dietary preferences!! The food was delicious and overall we had the best dining experience here in Aspen. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND:)

Went for dinner here but not out first time. We always visit this restaurant when we go to Aspen. Always make reservations lol. The food is amazing. We ordered all kids of food and it was all good. At the end we ordered shaved ice dessert which was really good as well. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
