京醬肉絲(Shredded pork stir fried in Beijing sauce) – it was ok

You Jia Mo (braised meat pancake) – The pancake was crisp but bland. The fillings are also bland

Ma Po tofu (spicy tofu) – sauce has a numbing effect which is very different but bland

Eggplant stir fried with string beans – this was not bad other than too sweet. Way too sweet for a savory dish

Sweet and sour pork – pork was good. Lots of batter but good

Cold noodles – bland

You need to reserve the duck in advance. Roasted duck has no scents at all, very tasty and tender. They will cut duck slices in front of you. The left bones can be made as soup or pepper salt fried one based on your preference. Will visit again. The salad sauce contains too much mustard, I don’t like it personally. Will visit again.

I used to come here often and really enjoyed the food with my family. It was one of our favorite spots. However, this time was quite disappointing. We waited for about an hour and a half, and our food still hadn’t all arrived. The dishes that did come were not up to the usual standard — both the flavor and quality had noticeably declined. I hope this was just a one-off, but it was a letdown compared to our previous visits.

Everything was delicious. We were amazed by the large portions. Some dishes nearly twice bigger than we expected and we had to take home every dish! Authentic Beijing duck that comes with either a soup or bone dish of your choice. Monday special for $59.99. The lamb dishes were very good too. Recommend for going in groups of at least 3-4!

Good ambiance, decent food, and good service.

The lady who served our table was friendly and helpful. When we ordered too many soup dishes she would suggest we switch some to balance out the meal; when we ordered too many she warned us so we wouldn’t waste money even though it’s against her self interest, tips being percentage based and all (18% automatically calculated).

Let’s be honest, you’re here for the Peking duck. Remember to reserve ahead of time, and let them know when you’ll arrive, since they really care about carving the duck fresh for consumption, it shows pride on their work. I will say the 煎饼果子 needs improvement, lacked sauce and crunch, but I had no complaints with the food otherwise.

Be prepared to spend a good bit when you’re here for the first time, the duck is pricy but it’s a specialty and worth a try.

Call an hour ahead of time for reserving a roasted duck. The service is pretty good and the place is fantastic. The only thing is that the sauce was not as tasty as I expected so I live one star blank and hopefully next time when I pay a visit it will be better.

The food tastes good. The duck is ok. The service is lousy. I haven’t been here for a few years and didn’t notice that they have switched to this bar code ordering system. I sat here for 10 mins and no one stopped by my table to tell me what to do:( it would have been better if they didn’t assume that I can see the bar code on the wall.

I found the most authentic sweet and sour pork, one of my favorite dishes of Fujian cuisine, in this restaurant, though this restaurant is most famous for Beijing cuisine.. But the dishes we ordered all taste pretty good, and the price is also acceptable. Will definitely come again!

The roast duck was pretty good. Especially they have special price for their anniversary. The shredded potato was not like the one I usually have in the north part of China. It was not sour enough. This is just personal preference.

One of my favorite Beijing food place in US. Certified by a Beijinger

I had roasted duck once and come back the second time for other dishes. They have some traditional Beijing dishes like 卤煮火烧 that is rarely found in other places. They even have 糖葫芦!Will definitely come back again!
